QUOTE(silverwineus @ Feb 2 2008, 10:52 AM) Well, just joking in that sense I have 3 gerbils (Sam, Dean and Ken) and now Ted (Teddy) the sugar glider. So in total its 4 pets.Suggie like to sembunyi in the pouch MOST of the time.. except in the late evening and at night. If you have 2 suggies, expect some noisy hullabalooo.. at times..during mid night.. You can train them to wake up early (in the late evening) as you consistently wake them up at that hour daily for meal.. They are smart and will acclimatize and attune to your scedule..as far as mine is concern.. So when evening arises, they will automatically look for you. Added on February 2, 2008, 11:16 amEmino, you have Teddy, gerbils, what else you have huh? How many gerbil is that.. Honestly, i don't know even how a gerbil looks like.. The fruit that you give to Teddy is a honey dew right? You can chop them to fine pieces and mix it with some fine carrots, peas.. a little bit wheatgerm etc It's pretty interesting though cuz the interesting part is that keeping glider is not just keeping, but MAKING... things like that la.. and remember to share that with us..ya? Here are what my gerbils look like: ![]() I might get a duprassi (fat-tailed) gerbil in the future. Hehe. Thanks for the recipe. Will try that later. Anyway, what kind of yogurt is good for gliders? I want to get some to stock in my fridge. This post has been edited by emino: Feb 2 2008, 09:38 PM |

The kind of yogurt that is good for gliders is the one that has the least milk content and higher calcium..
I read about lactose intolerance of the glider before.. do look it up for more elaboration. I think, if we are not sure which brand that has least lactose, don't give too much of any yogurt, appox 1 teaspoon for 2 gliders..once or twice per weekly will be adequate.. This is my own standpoint, others may be different.. If i'm wrong somewhere, hope others will point it to me.. Added on February 2, 2008, 10:01 pm QUOTE(emino @ Feb 2 2008, 09:53 PM) Lol, drop by in the gerbil thread and take a look at Nezumitaro's collection. She has like, 40 gerbils. Ohh dear..Similarly, "drop by in the chelonians thread at malaysiafauna and take a look at nonono's collection. he has like, 100 radiata Quite astonishing isn't it.. emino,
I want to share with you that i have discovered that their meal time can be bonding time as well.. Eating goes hand in hand with bonding.. When they are eating, place your hand to pet/stroke/groom them ..gently Mine like it very much, they revel in my touch.. hehe Best is place them in a bekas sth like this.. Just show ya a pic. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by silverwineus: Feb 2 2008, 10:40 PM |

spinel-sun,
Haha.. get to see Dydy, cute cute.. i notice soft tints of light grey on Dydy.. My dog has dog kibble. My guinea has guinea pellets. Even my torts have tortoise kibbles, the Mazuri.. But poor suggies.. don't have kibbles of that sort..for them. Would you mind to tell me where you get the holistic kibbles and what brand is that and is it safe for gliders? Holistic kibbles is it the same as dog kibbles? Added on February 3, 2008, 12:04 pm QUOTE(emino @ Feb 3 2008, 09:40 AM) Both you and Ted look fine. QUOTE(silverwineus @ Feb 3 2008, 01:05 PM) Does trimming it make a lot of difference? For both koochee n cheekoo, yes. Esp Koochee. Since i started trimming her nails, the nails seems to be more healthy. Yeah. btw how's Koochee and Cheekoo now, spel'it? Are they alright? Their nails had the tendency to get stuck on my carpets, my clothes when they get long. N when that happen to free themselves, they'll yanked it hard. I guess that was the problem with Koochee's nails before. So now as soon as i notice the situation, i wud trim their nails. A lil bit only. So far, they are ok with it. Silverwineus, as for rite now, they are separated. As i said, my bf wud take Cheekoo back to Penang. And he did. Last week. So now, only Koochee is with me. But i bet soon they wud be reunited. They seem to be depressed though we give them as much attention as we can. But we can see the diff. So, im taking Cheekoo back this CNY. And....i wud be taking a new job in Shah Alam soon. So i think it wud be easier for me to get all the stuffs, supplement etc for my lovable suggies.... |
