GFN is one of the few game streaming services (together with Shadow) that allows users to run games they already own with any supported game storefront, eliminating the need to purchase the game again.

The game is installed on the GFN server's virtual machine via the game store's launcher, not on your device. Your device just requires a GFN client to stream data (video, audio, and I/O interactions) from the virtual machine, similar to a virtual remote PC.
