Hmm, it appears that my Sony Android TV supports the GeForce Now app... Has anyone tried it out on his/her Android TV?

I made a GeForce Now account with Starhub and integrated all of my purchased titles from Steam, Epic Games, Origin, and Ubisoft Connect. Wow, I loved it better with a faster Internet connection, playing on a smart TV, Chrome browser, and smartphone.

The disadvantage is that some games from specific publishers are not available on GeForce Now owing to license restrictions. Some licensing terms may result in the inability to support particular device types; for example, Genshin Impact is not available on Android, Android TV, Edge, Chrome, or Linux.

Another problem is with game saves. This may occur with some GOG.com-hosted titles.

Although the Starhub Geforce Now Premium host only supports 1080p60, it does support RTX ON. There is no membership plan for Geforce Now 3080 available for 4K and HDR experience.

Okay, I will check again. I have purchased Alien Isolation on my Epic Games list.

There is a mistake for Genshin Impact... it is currently not available on the Android and Android TV platforms... It is available on browsers, PC, macOS, and Linux though.

Update: Due to licensing agreements, it appears that unsupported games will continue to be unsupported. Are you still able to play those unsupported games?

The email is issued today...Probably we will see the new price on the website soon enough for the new signups.

In my case, the revised price is already displayed.



Nevertheless, it will happen in the next cycle because the subscription begins at the time of your subscription date... If you subscribe today, July 12, the next cycle will be August 12. So, it doesn't use the end-of-month cycle.

I like this practice since it allows me to arrange the best time to fit my credit card cycle.

Update: Starhub has already concealed the monthly plan, leaving only the annual plan visible.

Stadia is still not available in Malaysia...not interested to use any VPN service.

Beneficial for me because I have so many games in many game stores such as Epic Games, Steam, Origin, GOG.COM, and Ubisoft, even though not all of my games are available on Geforce Now (GFN). Unless I use a VPN, it will be a long time before I can access Stadia, Luna, and other game streaming services in Malaysia.

I recently acquired NFS: Heat from Amazon Gaming for free and had to link it to my Origin account before I could add it to my GFN library. Aside from NFS: Heat, Amazon also provided free copies of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and Grid Legends. Grid Legends, on the other hand, is still not available in GFN.

Yes, it should follow the lead of the other GeForce service partners and offer a free tier. However, rather than displaying it as a little banner at the top of the page, it should be fully featured in the list of the plans. C'mon, Gamehub+!


The key bindings on the Sony DualShock 4 wireless controller/gamepad, on the other hand, work perfectly when paired with a Sony Bravia Android TV as a Bluetooth accessory (in my case, X90H).

It does not, however, when paired with a Samsung Android phone.

It's counterintuitive to use the virtual gamepad available on Geforce Now for Android [non-Android TV].

I might try to buy an Xbox wireless controller for a more smooth experience when playing with a real hardware gamepad, especially on a smartphone.

It is dependent by your Internet connection. The screenshot below depicts the test result for the Starhub/Gamehub+ GFN server in Singapore using my Unifi 800 Mbps on a WIFI connection. Because it is in Singapore, packet loss and pings are quite low. I don't even need to connect to a VPN.

It's not a big concern for certain games until you want to communicate to other players, change the name of your character, log into your game store account (I choose "always remember" for my laziness and not for security hahaha), or even use 2FA.

VPN is not required... Simply go to Geforce Now's Starhub Gamehub+ partner's website at https://www.gamehubplus.com/geforce-now. If you are a new signup, don't miss the blue banner at the top of the website... You will receive a one-month free trial.

Then install the GFN client on any supported devices (check https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/)

If you are so addicted to GFN, you can get the other plan choices offered to keep subscribing.

Starhub Gamehub+ accepts all debit/credit cards from Malaysia and also Paypal.

Take notice that Starhub Gamehub+ is a Premium/Priority GFN server (based on RTX 2080 with the RX ON support with the maximum 1080p@60fps) plus an additional benefit, namely extended session length.

On the GFN PC client: Settings > Server Location > Test Network.

If you are using GFN on a web browser, the Test Network button may not show up for an unknown reason.

Press Ctrl-G to open the GFN Settings if you are in a game.

On any Android devices: Settings > GeForce Now > Test Network

You can play from a web browser (Chrome/Edge/Safari): play.geforcenow.com but the Test Network option is not available for an unknown reason (Chrome, in my case).

You can install a GFN client if you are using Windows, macOS, Android, Android TV, NVIDIA Shield TV, 2021+ LG Smart TVs, Samsung Gaming Hub (2022 Samsung Smart TVs)

You need to own the game from the supported game stores except for the free-to-play games in GFN.

The GFN service is similar to Shadow, except the latter can do more besides playing games.

The benefit is that even if you cancel your GFN subscription, your games will still be available in the game stores for you to install elsewhere especially when you have enough money to buy a better gaming rig

Some game streaming services, such as Xbox Game Pass, Stadia, Playstation Now, and Amazon Luna, allow you to buy the game directly from their own game store without linking to any external game store. Still, if you cancel your subscription, you will lose privileges based on your membership tier, unable to play those games until you re-subscribe. Fortunately, Xbox Game Pass now supports linking games from the Ubisoft game store.

For respective Xbox Game Pass and Playstation Now, canceling your subscription will lose access to the Xbox Game Pass or Playstation Now games you installed on your devices unless some of the games come from the Microsoft Store or physical disc copies.

The EA Play's 10-hour limit should be suitable for general use because:
1) the GFN Free membership tier has a time limit of one hour;
2) the GFN Priority membership tier has a time limit of six hours; and,
3) the GFN RTX3800 membership tier has a time limit of eight hours.

The only thing is that I'm not sure how it calculates the amount of time spent on GFN: is it the entire time spent on GFN per day, regardless of how many GFN sessions are created, or is it only the time limit for one GFN session?

If the latter is the case, then it is appropriate to subscribe to EA Play Pro.
