There are so many topics on cctv, door viewer, monitor, alarms etc.
I would appreciate a simple solution to see and record who is at my front door ( only external door to a small apartment) and when I am not around, it will record anyone snooping and also works as a door bell.

I found digital door viewer which could do all that without a door bell. Shopee carries some brand to Phillips and the price ranges from rm 98 to 1000+.

There is an all in one digital door viewer cum doorbell costing less than 200. While I like low prices, I know quality of electricals vary directly with price.

Can I have suggestions please?

I took a look at the shopee offering.
It says to stick it on the door? Sounds like some thief can remove it easily. I don't plan to install grills. Nobody pinched yours yet?

I saw eken, looks promising, but I’m planning to put outside near mailbox where rain will usually affected, website says weather resistant. But I’m doubting it.

ya lor. same i put beside my mailbox cus lazy going downstairs to collect/answer them about the parcel, so i just “voice” them to drop in the box.

same actually i scared oso starting put cardboard. then lazy just leave it bare. so far so good after 6 months. actually i wanted to get Ring but very expensive. then xiaomi doorbell about RM200 and looks solid. but don’t get that! it’s got very good feature but doesn’t work at all outside china. sadly

another you guys can try is Tuya certified videodoorbell/ or live motion camera. it’s synced with all other smart devices. with the universal Tuya app, so can have “the same control centre for your gadgets. with the other Tuya lights etc\cam. so don’t have to switch app.”

The time i bought not much selling of Tuya video doorbell. but now looking back, The Eken v7 has their own software, apparently works very well as well. i’m looking to try Tuya ones, can share ur experience/survey too icon_rolleyes.gif

oh.. if ur house is 2 stories, wifi-router far away. got to get a cheap wifi-extender about rm20-rm30.
