when vaccination campaign started over there, many parts of the country were still imposing lockdowns, WFH, mandatory masking mandates. The rise in infection coincided with the loosening of restrictions (no need wear mask during July 4 weekend). You cant simply attribute the dropoff in infection to vaccination alone.
