Some people overseas use sausages as treats coz they think it is healthier since humans can eat. But after seeing how sausage in commercial factories is made on TV, better not give.
It is full of MSG and salt, alot of chicken fats and artificial flavourings. I rather get dehydrated dog treats.
My dogs love puffed venison. I forgot what brand but it is a natural dog treat brand, dehydrate the meat only with no preservatives or salt.

QUOTE(Lynn_Ong @ Aug 29 2009, 02:53 PM) currently my rocky boy is eating royal canin medium junior.. the kibbles r quite hard.. and i knw he dun lik to eat hard food..so, i blend it using eletric blender n keep it in container.. during meal time, i wil put few spoons into a bowl n mix it wf boiled chic/pork...and also can put some chic/pork soup (the left over water after boiling the chic/pork).. then it wil look lik rice wf chic/pork... anyone do like me? is it good? please advise... If you blend the food, then you are gonna have a dog with very bad breath and dirty teeth when it gets older. Why kibbles are made hard is to make the dog chew and crunch and this is beneficial for the gums and teeth. What you are doing is spoiling your dog. This will in turn give you more problems later as he grows older. I had 1 dog like that once, had to make special food everyday till the day he died and it wasn't healthy. Bad gums, rotten teeth, so many times kena go vet to clean and pull out bad teeth. You may think what you are giving is healthy but it isn't a good and complete diet. Keep to kibbles. It is meant to be hard and crunchy as it has a purpose. Stop the boiled meat and soup everyday. Just use as treats or on very special occasions.
