Hi Ladies and Gentlemans.

I already ordered my new router TP-Link AX20 after the old one keep freezing ( https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry101831450 ).

Since I am using PC that without Wifi adapter, I can only using cable direct connect. At the moment, I am using TP-Link AV500 Powerline Extender, which actually having inconsistent disconnect (recently only, reset does nothing), thus I think might upgrade to a stable / quality version.

Any recommendation what model of powerline I should Upgrade?

Powerline extender is crap & inconsistent, if want better speed u can consider mesh wifi instead, e.g. tp-link deco series like m5, m9 ...

Many pipu selling off their free units from TM at cheaper price if u browse online

Power line extended only works great if there is less noisy in your house power socket..

OK, decided do some research on WIFI PCIE card.

My Desktop location have weak wifi connection, but my desk have, and I am not going to mesh (too expensive), thus I am finding those PCIE card with flexible extension feature.

I am digging for TP-Link TX3000E - AX3000 Archer WiFi 6 Bluetooth 5.0 PCIe Adapter: https://shopee.com.my/TP-Link-AX3000-Archer...5875.4212448387

Just have a questions, due to my Desktop does not have extra F_USB port for bluetooth cable, will the wifi function still work without the bluetooh cable connected to mainboard ?

Sorry but wifi will cause more lag vs powerline, correct?

Asking because I also planned to get one (powerline) which can max out my 500mbps (currently using TP-Link AV600 (TL-PA4010 KIT))

Using powerline 8mbs ping but getting around 80mbps max on Cat5e both ends.
If I use wifi (5.8) ping around 9-20ms (sometimes timed out) but getting 210mbps max.

Thats depend . Which wifi router you are using ? and also depends on how many obstacle e.g wall in between your router location and your pc or gadget location

For powerline , have to check your power cable some say 3phase might have issue and connection will face issue.

my suggestion is for stable network and wifi dead zone then go with powerline .. for faster network i think better use wifi ..

alot factor le

Hi Crimy.

Using stock TM router DLINK DIR-850L Router connected to secondary router DLINK DIR-868L Router AC1750 where secondary transmit WIFI.

Apartment using 1 phase saje. A lot of people + shops around, wifi is congested kaw2.

Thinking to get powerline to my main pc in bedroom but unsure which model to get that may maximize my 500mbps internet. It's either this https://shopee.com.my/D-link-AC1200-AV2-Gig...5424?position=0 or switching to a better router (eg. with wifi6).

Potentially this may help TS as well smile.gif

Btw TS tkwmm, I noticed my powerline often disconnects during night time when watching movies (streaming) - tiba2 no internet but still connected. The rest of devices connected to router is unaffected. What I do is disable NIC and enable it back, that usually solves the issue. But hassle everytime need to do it. During daytime usually no issues even with heavy usage.
