Based on my reading.. tht's the understanding.. back to 2G.

Don't expect quantum leap on 5G. It is more like WiFi on larger scale. Like Wifi, weak signal slower speed. It is using mm wave like from which most likely from 5GHz to 30GHz. Many said that 5GHz WiFi distance is bad easily blocked and it is the same for 5G.

Most practical usage is in shopping complex. The distance between base station has to be nearer. Therefore, in rural area, I'd say 5G is less likely than 4G.

5G has many bands, the slowest 5G band offers like current faster 4G band speeds but at the range of slow 4G. I wanted 5G so bad for the latency reduction because freaking unifi don't wanna give me a box even when I offered to pay for it (closest box is just 200m away and full)

The 4G speed is defined at 100Mbps but our average is around 20Mbps only. The lowest band of 5G is 700MHz band assigned by MCMC and will only have 2x30Mbps if not mistaken. So, the real world speed is probably not even half that speed when it is shared among users I believe.

it only benefits to MVNOs at this moment, I believe the big 4 telco will still continue to strengthen their 4g network at this moment, at least they are busy on 3g refarm now.

- ask all telco to co-buy the facility
- ask all telco to pay maintenance of the line
- ask all telco to pay the maintenance guy to maintain the line
- ask all telco to pay the contract of the maintenance guy to maintain the line

Yes. Noticeable when 4G is weak it falls straight to 2G. Seremban and Klang areas too. Where else my another line Umobile still has 3G to use if 4G is bad

I just purchased a YES sim card for their 5G plan as secondary line just to test 5G

If only Yes/Unifi sign up with DNB, quite sure that the cost cannot be recovered...
