PETALING JAYA: A total of 3,600 doses have been allocated for the first day of walk-in vaccinations at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre vaccination centre for Monday (Aug 2).
It is learnt, however, that the number of doses might be increased depending on the number of people that turns up as the maximum daily capacity is 8,000 doses.
“For today, we are allocating 3,600 doses for walk-ins.
“Those who fit the criteria of being over 40 years old or those with comorbidities will be allowed to take their jabs,” said the centre's HCO F, G and H manager Dr Zaisuria Azmi.
She also added that 231 medical and non-medical personnel are standing by to help the public with the walk-in vaccinations.
A check by The Star found that members of the public started lining up for vaccination an hour before the centre opened at 2pm.
