The SA told me if i change the HU for the J spec, it will void the warranty on wiring..which makes me wonder?Is wiring a big issue in toyota vios?

i'm not the type who drive fast like ah beng..i'm the type who drives to achieve better FC...i just want to mod the car with the money saved...i did think bout getting G spec, but the fact i have to fork out another RM12k and it doesn't have usb input for the HU really turn me down..

hazremi, what if you wait for another one or two years.

Try to save some amount of money, in equal to what you can afford to pay as the installment for J spec, every month.

I think, by that time you could buy the G spec. Be patient.

IMHO, stock car is better. Use it as is.

Usually, modding your car will make you visit the wordkshop more frequent.

Save the money for modding the car, for the Toyota SC. Always use original parts. Service your car as scheduled. Perhaps you could also afford to use the fully synthetic oil (reduce the number of SC visits to half).

How much will it cost to change from drum brake to disc brake ?

explore gear ratio? how u wanna judge for the explore? normal city drive not count? or SIC only count?
even i'm a honda fan, i do admit the power is lose to vios... or u always think of the 120PS hp? but only can enjoy when u rev up or more than 6K, i not going to explore like this everyday... pls judge pratical...

last gen CVT gearbox was nice, the really hav the feel driving HONDA cars... now, is another story dude...
fuiyo, talk about handling, honda is well known for stiffer suspension hence provide better steering response and better handling, but comfort suffer a bit... but how much the amount need to spend for this? every buyer hav their calculation and personal needs in their mind dude... vios J lose ar? throw in TRD suspension lo...

Vios J not solid? keke... since vios J price was cheap, can put in 2K for autofoam and sound proofing, i DOUBT NHC can near to it... try to knock the bmw 3 series front fender, see it solid or milo tin... hehehehe... this wat i done for my sis car, hope i didnt left any knock sign on it...

sometimes strip down version does good to ppl who like to mod, they can add in stuffs depend their likes... and DIY it also...

today i went service my car..

for the 1st and 2nd service... meaning 1000 and 5000km, they use Minerals, a type of crude oil.

Then 3rd service, 10,000, you can choose to use either Fully or Semi syn.

Semi syn, every 5k change... Fully syn 10k ...

Other than mileage, overall fully syn is better than semi, there's a brochure in toyota waiting hall got explain all these stuff.
1st service is nice... they help u wash and vacuum your car also.. haha, thought of washing myself today, but got ppl help me wash already.
Heard ppl said, 1st 1000km, cannot rev...

Now past already and went for 1st service...can try power oledi!

so can i conclude when u get your vios, the service interval is like this

1. 1000km service
2. 5000km service
3. 10000km service
4. service for every 10000km interval..

is this the right way to service your vios?

some people said you don't need to service 5000km...

Hello all, i've go through all the post from this thread.. saw that many vios driver (2007-2008) they are having wind noise problem, squezing sound problem and etc... is the new one 2009 with all this fixed?

Wow!!! The new batch Dugong auto clock 3,000rpm at 120kmh is high la. What's the mileage u guys get for 40 litres, 50-50 city/highway?

Mine is 1.5G 2003, cruises at 120kmh at 2500rpm ONLY!!! While 40 litres gives abt 530-560kmh!

but vios, better dont mod first as i seldom drive it... maybe will put 4 point Ultra racing front strut.. tires maintain first

no..i heard from SA said the vios will launch TRD version.
They use E spec to mod trd spec,so later on basic E spec will stop selling alrdy,just sell the TRD spec.
And the price of all the spec of vios will increase.

currently at service center,
so sad that i cannot ask for aligment adjustment due to i have change my rim and tyre ( no original we can't do it for you, really wtfbbq )

i raise my question on the tyre noisy sound, they claim it might be the bearing is faulty due to changing the sport rim... ( another wtfbbqkthxbye ), they can't change it because it is not original rim + tyre ( another wtfbbq )

now i am thinking the free 3 year warranty is actually alot of thing that we can't claim it as they will just simply blame to any new change on the car by yourself. i will not going back to the toyota service center after my free service is used finish.

Please think twice if you want to buy this vios, as i am very disappointed on the workmanship of this car + this car is not meet my expectation.
please consider other car because this car just not worth RM80k at all. Personally think that proton will be better, just toyota with VVTI owns campro

if i got second chances, i will never ever want to get this car. ( fully disappointed and need to bear with it for another 6~7 year T_T )
