Go and buy the S version then. J version no disc brake at the back.

If you want to drive fast and brake heavily, then go for G or S spec. If you just want to modify your car to a nice looking one, J spec is the one for you to modify one.

Some people might get the J spec, upgrade the rear brake from drum to disc, manual transmission and add turbo.

So the choice is yours, think wisely.

What your  Sa means is that any modification that has to do with tapping or cutting wire will void the wiring harness of your car. If you change your HU then the warranty for your radio, speakers & speaker wirinf will be void. I personally do not know of any problems with Toyota Vios wiring harness.
In regards to your car choice, just get what is within your budget & pleases your eye/heart. No point going above your budget with the current economic climate.

hazremi, what if you wait for another one or two years.

Try to save some amount of money, in equal to what you can afford to pay as the installment for J spec, every month.

I think, by that time you could buy the G spec. Be patient.

IMHO, stock car is better. Use it as is.

Usually, modding your car will make you visit the wordkshop more frequent.

Save the money for modding the car, for the Toyota SC. Always use original parts. Service your car as scheduled. Perhaps you could also afford to use the fully synthetic oil (reduce the number of SC visits to half).

Im J spec owner also and i direct go change the player also when take d car coz i wanna USB input which i need it...

My rim just change to small one 15" simple design replica Enkei rim with 195/55/R15 tyre...     16" rim not suitable for Sarawak road condition..

comparing satria Neo CPS, Waja CPS and Vios J ( looking for manual car)

how do you rate them in terms of

- price, loan and interest( proton high interest rate makes vios and waja= same monthly payment)
- power
- reliability
- resale value
- fun factor

looking for manual/ a little more power, and i think manual car is more forgiving in harsh driving condition.

I just got my Vios. Really enjoy driving it. Stable, powerful and really nice. So far perfect, no problem at all.

Trust me, go for Vios. I never even take Neo and Waja as consideration.

I only compare it with the new City.

I will choose Vios again, if now I have a choice to compare it with City.

Dark tint doesn't mean good for heat rejection.

Vkool Elite is actually clear color. Transparent. But heat rejection is 97%.

Light transmission about 73%.. better for night driving.

today i went service my car..

for the 1st and 2nd service... meaning 1000 and 5000km, they use Minerals, a type of crude oil.

Then 3rd service, 10,000, you can choose to use either Fully or Semi syn.

Semi syn, every 5k change... Fully syn 10k ...

Other than mileage, overall fully syn is better than semi, there's a brochure in toyota waiting hall got explain all these stuff.
1st service is nice... they help u wash and vacuum your car also.. haha, thought of washing myself today, but got ppl help me wash already.
Heard ppl said, 1st 1000km, cannot rev...

Now past already and went for 1st service...can try power oledi!

I guess that's still long to wait since the new Toyota Vios launched in year 2007, so 3 years later should be 2010.
