Hi guys, right now comparing 60k-70k cars.

comparing satria Neo CPS, Waja CPS and Vios J ( looking for manual car)

how do you rate them in terms of

- price, loan and interest( proton high interest rate makes vios and waja= same monthly payment)
- power
- reliability
- resale value
- fun factor

looking for manual/ a little more power, and i think manual car is more forgiving in harsh driving condition.
*
I just got my Vios. Really enjoy driving it. Stable, powerful and really nice. So far perfect, no problem at all.

Trust me, go for Vios. I never even take Neo and Waja as consideration.

I only compare it with the new City.

I will choose Vios again, if now I have a choice to compare it with City. smile.gif

congrats bro for your ride. what type of spec are u driving?

do you do any mod? show us some pic la laugh.gif
*
Thanks Hazremi.

I got the S spec. Black one. Look pretty nice though.

Got the sporty look I really like. With the spoiler and bodykits.

No mod la bro. I afraid of warranty void. If really mod, I'm thinking of asking TRD under UMW to mod..maybe they can modify without voiding the warranty since it's under UMW? I'm not sure..

Just a normal S spec, hehe, so nothing special to share pic.

Just went to tint Vkool, got the Vkool elite for front and back, and also 4mil security films for 4 windows.

That's it, spent a lot oledi. cry.gif

stinger82,

I spent 1700 for tint.

Front and back Vkool Elite. The best for Vkool I think.

Then for windows is 4mil Armorcoat, a subsidiary of Vkool if not mistaken.

Is the price okay ?

Kazami,

Call your SA and ask, see what solution he can give to you.

wow, never know tinting can costs so much tongue.gif must be ultra good man.

so u can do anything in the car and ppl outside won't notice, minus the suspension sound of cos smile.gif
*
Dark tint doesn't mean good for heat rejection.

Vkool Elite is actually clear color. Transparent. But heat rejection is 97%.

Light transmission about 73%.. better for night driving.

how about 55% heat rejection? consider normal is it?
*
55% heat rejection is not so good quality. I think they have others like Vkool 35.. less expensive, darker but less heat rejection.

Usually they recommend Vkool Elite.

Expensive is the security film I think.

So if you do not want the security film, then just take normal tint for your 4 windows. It would be around 700-900 I think.

If you have money and want to be extra safe and secure, get the Vkool Elite 8mil (usually is 4mil), I think including windscreen (not sure), cause usually windscreen no security film. Only 4 windows. This 8mil cost around rm3500. Hehe!

vkool not smart tag friendly?? mine got no problem. i dun think vkool & 3m has such issue.
*
Mine got no problem too. So far so good. Smart tag friendly!

I'm not sure, maybe dark has problem. Mine is transparent/clear - Elite.

How about the S spec's spoiler and bodykits?

QUOTE(kazami @ Mar 31 2009, 11:46 PM)
guys, my car gonna clock 20k soon
last service was 10k
using semi syn oil
base on my knowledge, not many semi syn oil can last til 10k
it is advice to change to fully or maybe change every 5 to 7k mileage?
just now i tried to check when i off the engine, i cant get accurate reading as the oil all over the stick...
later morning will check before i drive it again
*
wow Kazami, semi syn oil, u dare to go 10k ar? For me, I will just change every 5k.

Or get fully synthetic oil. It will be costly.

After 1 week get my car, I have clocked 1k... tomorrow go service car. 1k milestone. woohoo!

bro, better go service fast. hehe!

Added on April 2, 2009, 1:24 amWill service my car tomorrow for 1k mileage, do you guys think I should change to fully synthetic oil ?

My friend told me for first 3 service, fully synthetic oil is useless.. coz something like the engine or wat won't be able to suck the benefits of fully syn oil. Is that true?

Is it advisable tomorrow I change to fully synthetic oil ? What's the advantages/disadvantages of fully synthetic oil compare to semi syn or normal oil beside that it can last 10k instead of 5k for normal/semi one??

okay... thanks for the info
like this i think im switching to fully soon...
toyota SA told me semi can go til 10k
for me, even my very own wira, semi for less than 5k already change...
for this vios, my dad said after 10k also can change... speechless
*
today i went service my car..

for the 1st and 2nd service... meaning 1000 and 5000km, they use Minerals, a type of crude oil.

Then 3rd service, 10,000, you can choose to use either Fully or Semi syn.

Semi syn, every 5k change... Fully syn 10k ...

Other than mileage, overall fully syn is better than semi, there's a brochure in toyota waiting hall got explain all these stuff.

1st service is nice... they help u wash and vacuum your car also.. haha, thought of washing myself today, but got ppl help me wash already.

Heard ppl said, 1st 1000km, cannot rev...

Now past already and went for 1st service...can try power oledi!

QUOTE(hazremi @ Apr 3 2009, 08:39 AM)
so can i conclude when u get your vios, the service interval is like this

1. 1000km service
2. 5000km service
3. 10000km service
4. service for every 10000km interval..

is this the right way to service your vios?

some people said you don't need to service 5000km...
*
yes..in the book, it's written like this..

but the guy that service your car will stick something on your windscreen... written

Next Service = 6000 , meaning 1000km + 5000km or 3/8/09 , 4 months later, whichever comes first. >> Minerals oil

So when you go service on 6000, next service is 11,000 >> Minerals..

11,000 will be using fully synthetic (your choice to choose either fully or semi) , so next one is 21,000 ...

5,000km definitely need to service..
coz it's using minerals oil..
except that some ppl kena conned to use fully syn, then they can skip to 10,000.

im driving around 120kmh and above most of the time... highway of course...
currently with shell petrol... 60% highway and 40% city area\
i can get around 405km once the petrol bar reach the last one...
currently want to test petronas petrol
*
im driving around 120kmh average, same like you... 60% highway 40% city area..

I get around 430km once the petrol bar reach the last one...

Using Petronas!

And i heard ppl said a new car once pumped that petrol, must always stick with that petrol for better performance??

When just got my car, no petrol, nearest is Petronas, so no choice, I pumped Petronas and from that on, I keep using Petronas.

Last time used to pump Shell, and can say is Shell fan. Haha.. Easier to find. And Petronas the credit card machine always got problem, usually OFFLINE.

A friend of mine told me, his friend using Vios tried many petrols, at last found out Caltex is the best among all in term of petrol.

Any experience?

Only today I realised I have the same problem. When turn my steering right side about 80%.. I can hear some noise coming from below my legs.. I can feel it's vibrating.
Turn left is okay it seems.

Erm, seems like this is a common problem. If anyone of you know the problem, kinda share with us.
The next time bring to service centre, will ask them check also.

I thought I hit something below, till it has this sound, scare me.
Haha..
