my dad booked the G spec, it's around 86k I think. He said the salesman told him S spec is 90k gua... not worth it.. for me...
and no manual
*
no manual? Oh crap~ but i think the performance for this new vios will slightly suffer due to heavy weight as compare with previous model

overrated 1.5 car..this car is meant for asian budget car market, as such, u can find cheapo stuffs inside this car...might well settle for civic
*
what cheapo stuff u mean? And Civic is another level up from VIOS so i don't think u can compare it directly unless you're comparing it with altis then i would agree with you to settle in a civic or a lancer gt2.0 but that still doesn't mean there's cheapo stuff in altis icon_rolleyes.gif

Agree. . .  it is something targeted for those not rich enough people but insist on branded thing one. . . pathetic. . .  for RM85K++, why don't take out another RM15K-20K to get a Altis 1.6. . .
*
what does that gotta do with not rich enough people?

Each and everyone has their own capability.. i'm not rich but my dream is a Altezza but i settle down for a vios cause that's the car within my budget and capability to own it.

And you mentioned that not rich enough people but insist on branded thing~ if already have to struggle due to "face" and buy a vios.. would they have that kind of money to throw in another 15-20K for altis? sweat.gif

Your statement will leads to a lot of flaming~

Just curious, anyone who already owned a Vios J here?

I was thinking of passing my friend who recently booked a Vios J my set of 14" Toyota sport rims that came off the previous version of Vios E. According to him, service centre says that even changing the stock steel wheels to sport rims of the SAME diameter(retaining the stock tyres) will ALSO void the warranty for the suspension parts. Is there actually truth to it or it's just total bull?

Thanks in advance.

yes it does. But it depends on the SC and SA. If you good with him then i don't think it will be an issue. I claimed absorber while on sport spring and larger rim.

If want to mod, then don't bother about the warranty. If want the warranty then dun mod

hazremi, what if you wait for another one or two years.

Try to save some amount of money, in equal to what you can afford to pay as the installment for J spec, every month.

I think, by that time you could buy the G spec. Be patient.

IMHO, stock car is better. Use it as is.

Usually, modding your car will make you visit the wordkshop more frequent.

Save the money for modding the car, for the Toyota SC. Always use original parts. Service your car as scheduled. Perhaps you could also afford to use the fully synthetic oil (reduce the number of SC visits to half).

p/s:
1.Rich people always say: If you want fast car, go and buy a fast car. If you want beautiful car, go and buy a beautiful car. Modding the car, shows that you are not rich.

2. I don't work for Toyota. I am also a "makan gaji" man.

hmm.. not necessary.. i used to drive vios b4 upgrade to other car. And my car is modded too. Shower it with care and maintain properly. i dun see why need to go workshop frequently unless you tembak aje la. hehe
