I have test drove the Vios today, too bad to say even my gen 2 highline ride comfort, interior quality ,sound proofing and engine power is better than it . =(, anyhow i will still sell my gen 2 and get this car because i need a Auto car for everyday City driving.
*
Your remarks tell us that vios is totally no match with gen2 n you are buying vios, something is wrong with you, becos the car is not up to your mark since gen2 is so superior than vios n you still go for vios. Since you like so much about auto car n gen2 is so good why not change to gen2 auto or some other auto cars.

I change my tyre from ori 185/60/15 to Michelin MXV8 Japan 195/60/15. Ride comfort and handling improve as well as noise level also lower...Will do soundproofing soon...

Cheers

hey bro,

so wats teh cause of the sound from the undercarriage? what sparepart they gonna change?
*
The sc call yesterday n told me the spare part arrived n went today for the undercarriage sound repair, u know they change the mounting n i still not sure whether the sound is still there becos rushing home for some appointment, again waited for 3.5 hours. The mounting discribe is just beside the engine belting, the rounded rubberish black colour mounted onto the engine n the car body. Will get back to you guys whether the repair done solve the problem tomorrow.

The second service cost me RM116.60 for changing semi synthetic oil plus changing the oil filter, but my mileage only 4280km becos either 3months or 5k. Luckily i have e coupon of RM60.00, but was told the next service 3rd will be around RM300.00.

After 5 months, then second service, you might void the warranty becos as said before 3months grace or 5k which ever come first.

The Vios antenna is FOC ler... Friend in Toyota SC adjust for me... However, it is very simple..There is a coin drawer just right below the mirror adjustment control. Pull that little coin drawer out. To pull it out, u need to open it up and press on the left and right side of the drawer so the hook will get pass. Carefully look inside and u will see the antenna inside. Reroute the cable slightly and check for distance...5 mins job oni...

Anyone put HID on their new Vios?? I install a 4100 Osram D2R hid that comes with AL ballast which from OEM headlight.. Output is very very good and bright but then the beam pattern a bit out larr...
Anyone know how to adjust it???

Thanks

Cheers

Guys,

As promise. The photos is my car with improve alarm distance...You need to take out the coin drawer and then reroute the antenna wire. I just reroute it to the mirror adjustment wire and just make a simple Q tie...The antenna wire is a wire with Black colour coating at the tip of it and also the last cable at the alarm console pinout..

Feel free to ask if you are in doubt..

Hope to share something which will benefit all of us...

Cheers

Dickong,

Some is bundle together and just tie up using black tape. Just pull it down from the bundle of wire lor...coz it is not going anywhere at the end. U pull from the bundle to separate it from the black tape lor...

Thats it and you are done...

In fact, i try to pull it but its very tight worry it might break or pull down some unnessary wire. Just to confirm, is it the pink wire, n is it that the pink wire has no link or stand alone at the end, if so then i might try to try to pull it again tomorrow.

Anyone change the front absorber before, mine i feel a little soft n each time i hit a bump, my front undercarriage has a very loud noise, seem to me that the absorber is to soft, any ideal vios owner, secondly wonder the vios absorber is using oil or gas for the front. Dont tell me i have too much pressure on the trye becos i follow the initial spec or sometime 1-2psi down.

Be gentle to your new car. The engine has not run in yet. Try ur best not to drive above 110km/h. Best if you can maintain below 100km/h.
*
Today car technology doesnt need to run in from the first day u get in the car u can start to speed. The run in period is yesteryear technology. I have been doing it since the day i got my car n it doing good to better by the days.

Are u sure bout this? If u not sure, go open up the toyota manual and read. They did mention about engine run in.
*
If you are talking about reading the manual i take for granted u are new comer to using car, as said earlier new technology doesnt need run in. Have u seen people delivering car from factory to dealer n how they drive, n secondly as said earlier again, i have been using so many type of new cars n have been speeding since day one n the day i sell it, doesnt have any problem. Important thing to follow is to go for routine service n periodical change of oils. For example my present Vios, from day one i drove all the way from Penang to Ipoh with average speed of 140km n now going to be 1 year, my car seem tip top n nothing wrong except on some minor cosmetic sound. Another example if u really want to follow by the manual there r a lot more thing u mustnt do n do, like your tyre, they also need to run in for the first 1000km n so on.
