i would suggest that you go and ask a few SA. last month, i asked a few and some said 1.78% no disc, some 1.78% 500 disc and i managed to get 1.5K with 1.78%..some forummers even got 1.7K disc for that low interest..Happy hunting  rclxms.gif

1.78% promo is onli till end of April. So, starting frm May interest has increased.

yeah i know. My point is that you will still find SA that will give cash discount despite the low interest rate. i can even get 1.5K cash discount when interest rate was 1.78%. Lower interest (1.78%) get cash discount BUT higher interest(2.38%) don't get cash discount?? rclxub.gif

rclxub.gif Before announcement on rate increase, Interest rate was 2.++% , toyota offer 1.78%, can get cash discount

rclxub.gif After announcement on rate increase, interest rate is 3.++%, toyota offer 2.38%, But can't get cash discount????

What's the difference between the two cases? With the low interest of 1.78%, toyota SA still manage to give out 1.5K cash discount to customers, i don't see any reason of them not giving cash discount again for this month's offer. Anyway, no harm of hunting around for the best offer. Saving of 1.5K can be used to change car rims or add bodykit. icon_rolleyes.gif

i feel vios steering is very light...
when i corner especially on high speed corner... i feel like floating...
if i add front strut bar... will it be useful?
for Ultra racing bars... they have only 2 points or got 4 points as well?

Same here. My '09 bought Vios E-Spec was for the wife and I am driving the '05 Vios G-Spec. My wife initially liked the super light steering, then complained when driving along highways too much. Now, she'd rather swap her '09 Vios for my '05 Vios. And it is now my turn to feel uncomfortable with the steering. I'm still contemplating between changing to bigger rims and wider tyres because I do not know whether will it give a drastic effect to the steering weight. Anybody has experience with this??

well changing to a wider tires yes... it will met you feel heavier steering...
i can feel if my '05 Vios and SEG fitted with PP2 195 or 185 tires...
195 a bit more roll coz our RIM is 5.5J only... but you get a bit more grip...
and also the steering feel a bit heavier....
why not try to change to 16" rim with 205 tire and see... tat will give you 20mm more contact each tire and it is 40mm for the front 2 tires...
it certainly will give you heavier steering but don expect it to be very heavy...
Honda have lighter steering... quite scary if you are not use to it...

16" tyres too pricey for me I guess. That's why I'm looking at 15" rims only. The current stock E spec tyres are only 175 but damn high profile of 65 la. I don't expect a very very drastic change of steering weight, Just hope it'll be slightly heavier compared to the current feel. Lurking in Penang to find 15" Lenso rims but it's so rare. Almost every tyre shop I visited told me they don't carry Lenso rims. Thanks for the info man.

aiyo...
you got it wrong bro... 65 not that high... 65 is the percentage of your width...
175 X 113.75 (Height) for the 175/65 tires...
185 X 111 (Height) for the 185/60 tires... a bit only... 3mm can you feel it???
haha... don mistakenly though it is a big different...

hmm... you need to if you change to 195/55 R15 with wider rim better...
the '05 Vios fitted with 185 and 195 tire i can feel the different of body roll during corner...

Now that is brand new info to me. Haha. Thanks for educating me on the profile percentage. My '05 Vios is fitted with 185 tyres only but it's super solid coz the steering wheel is the conventional hydraulic type which is way heavier compared to this '09 Vios.

I assumed these are under the fixed rate, right?
Can someone share what is the rate for the "flexi-plan", i.e BLR-based?

TQ.

the cash discount is not black and white stated in the promotion package. Whatever advertised is the Standard package. But some SA will give extra cash discount on top of that to secure sales.

haha. If giving more discount will make toyota gone bankrupt, Toyota would have been bankrupt by now. shakehead.gif

But I think Toyota SA would want more customers like you. hmm.gif rclxms.gif

It does not meant for the driver, but, for other drivers.
