I know alot ppl buy mazda for few reasons such as

Style
Driving mechanics
Not as exp as beemer n mercelei

But what abt reliability, maintenance and resale value and longetivity?

Or Toyota honda still better.

Their SUVs tend to hold better second hand value

sedans and MPVs not so much.

Apart from the RX-7 and RX-8 what do they make that is better than any of the other japanese companies? Would rather go with honda or toyota.

I'll probably keep my gen 3 Mazda 3 for a good 8 - 10 years before deciding whether to keep it/sell it.

Even their pickup truck has held up well.

Ahh mazda, the nearlee conti feeling jepunis car.

Mostly after few year, interior plastics will fall apart. And then there is the Direct Injection engine which will have terrible carbon build up post 50k mileage.

If you ok with interior that will fall apart and occasionally need to walnut blast to remove carbon build up, go for it.

If want SUV, best value is still proton X70. the resale value also ridiculously good. can check in carlist.

Driven CBU X70 premium and latest skyactive CX-5 GL 2.0
X70 feels much more premium, more power, more comfort, more features, more spacious, 360 camera is so good and High definition

CX-5 feels underpower, cramp, bad sound insulation, bad reverse camera (resolution worse than myvi), no active cruise control, no ADAS, no sunroof.

only thing CX-5 wins is marginally better driving dynamics (if you like to drive fast and corner fast) and slight better fuel economy and better exterior looks and better sound system

Nappa leather is no joke. At first I thought is just gimmik, but after compared to normal myvi/vios/civic/3 series leather. Wow, so amazing.

Bobby Ang is correct. He said once you driven X70. It is very hard to upgrade to another car that is better in comfort.
