Lately i have had 3 usb c cables burnt at the tip.
1st cable - cable that came with xiaomi hair clippers. Connected to ldnio socket hub but no device connected.
2nd cable - cable from daiso. Connected to same ldnio socket hub but no device connected.
3rd cable - cable from daiso. Connected to ldnio charger (diff from the above) and was charging my vape overnight.
What could be the problem?
at/inside that burnt part is a resistor . to limit current flow.
my guess is poor quality . overheat, and burn/melt.
so you can see these cables are a FIRE risk.
my xiaomi c cable die on me. no charging . must be poor quality too.
get a better branded cable like UGREEN.
your ldnio is also a suspect
MY guess is your ldnio is faulty ..its not regulating the current ...and pumping a very high current. the cable cant handle this and burnt out.
from google...
1. Consumer watchdog issues electric shock warning over Ldnio USB chargers after three fail safety tests
2.
A USB charging port made by leading Chinese manufacturer Ldnio could be dangerous and Hongkongers should stop using it immediately, the city's Consumer Council said on May 14. ... The council also tested 14 other USB products, 12 of which did not meet international safety standards.15 May 2019
