Hi.

For context, I am not familiar with networking matters, hence why I am asking for help here.

Generally, I don't have an issue connecting or using the internet. However, I seem be running into issues when trying to connect to certain services or websites.

I can't connect to Maxis homepage, Netflix does not work most of the time and recently, it is getting quite difficult to connect to my VPN service as well. This only happens on my computer and not on my phone. The latter does not have any of these issues.

To rule out issues with my computer, I tried connecting with the hotspot from my phone. There is no issue at all. All the above mentioned sites/services work normally.

I am using a Maxis broadband, with the default router.

Could you advise what I should do? Where could the problem be? Your help is much appreciated.

Try and delete all "remembered" networks under the wi-fi settings page, then reboot and try to reconnect

Also, try to reboot the router

1) clear cache/cookie on browser
2) clear dns cache
3) reboot modem and router

You are using Maxis 4G or Fiber?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did it for netflix and maxis.com.my:

The trace for maxis completed after 8 hops, without and "request timed out". However, I still can't access their website through the browser.

As for netflix, 15 out to the 30 hops came out with "request timed out".

Ping to the netflix IP (which I got from the tracert) also failed.

I googled a bit some of the Name/IP and it seems that there are others having issues with maxis.

However, as I am a novice on this issues, I can't seem to make head or tail of this. All I can understand from the previous post is Maxis got some cable issues?

I have same issue, try Disable IPv6 for this,
apparently Maxis IPv6 is broken, they use fixed size MTU 1500 because share with Mobile.

If you using Business Router, you can apply MTU clmap or increase PPPoE MTU to 1500

U can try nslookup and see is the server correct. If it show unknown then it might be your DNS issue. Otherwise try @Anime4000 method to disable IPV6.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was beginning to think it was some issue with my PC or some other setting.

Will give a try and update here soon.
