Neo vs Morpheus is one of my fav fighting scenes and the recent one in Bourne Ultimatum is one of the best in recent years.

BUT THE BEST has to be the Oldboy single shot fighting scene, the best asian movie.

come to think of it la

this scene is NICELY FILMED but not the best action.

in Tom-Yum-Goong, the action is better in
1. the part in the burning temple
2. the ending scenes

and for Ong Bak, i like the scene where he was fighting the huge ang moh, the afro hair dude and the mad man.

didn't really watch the other scenes in Ong Bak yet.

That was nothing but an empty hollow CGI-fest with no tension at all (same goes for the whole FF7:AC)

As for Rob Roy, I found it on youtube, i rest my case. tongue.gif

It has tension, it has drama, it has flow, it has the actors swinging big heavy swords like they really mean it. what more could you want? the only other swordfight to have that visceral-ness to it comes from Troy, but Rob Roy is an infinitely better film than Troy, so yeah, even though Troy's may be a wee bit shinier, you are more invested in Neeson's character than Brad Pitt's surfer dude during the movie.

"Sa Po Lang (SPL)" knife fight scene between donnie yen and another bad guy. U guys should really watch that fight.

The build up to the fight is also very good...How will the new bad ass cop with kung fu skills face up with the tough bad guy who also has good kung fu skills that killed lots of good cops...

Colt Commando, Galil and Valmet. Oh yeah. cool2.gif

This gunfight in streets of LA is choreographed by Andy McNab, the former SAS operator who is involved in ill fated Bravo Two Zero in Gulf War 1991-1992. The movie is Heat, 1995 starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, one of the best movie I ever seen in my life. It even inspired real life shootout, the most notorious and famous in history of law enforcement.

North Hollywood shootout lasted 44 minutes and about 1100 rounds were shot by fully armed robbers outside of bank that day in 1997.Later police find copy of Heat in the robber's home, apparently they using it as training material for gunfighting.

Not a fighting scene..Hard Boiled Hospital shootout. Starting from 3.07-5.49 all in 1 shot. Reminds me of FPS game.

Not sure if its true but i read somewhere that the next floor they went to was actually the same floor as b4 they enter the elevator. That means they clean it up and make it looked like they enter a diff level. shocking.gif

yup it's true....woo said it himself on one of the commentary tracks for the DVD.....if you watch the scene closely, they went left upon entering the lif and later exiting the lif, they went the other direction....so there really wasn't much to clean up.

more over, the whole scene before and after the lif is shot all in one take with one steady-cam !! only johnie to has top that with his openning for breaking news as far as HK cinema is concerned. notworthy.gif
