For online MNP, once you complete your eKYC they will send you a sim kosong Hotlink. The sim kosong is tagged to your MNP request and it is a registered courier delivery. Once delivered to you, Hotlink "should" automatically start the MNP process and the usual MNP process will start just like physical store MNP (receive port-out SMS, answer accordingly and... wait).
Physical store MNP is always faster as you don't have to wait for the sim kosong to arrive.
So probably, if convenient to you, try at another Maxis store. Sometimes, need to make sure that the store is really operated by Maxis, and not by some 3rd party concessionaire (where the bs normally happens). You normally can see the actual operator of the Maxis store by looking at its signboard (with words like "Maxis Broadband Sdn. Bhd." etc etc)
Do note that, a few Maxis center will reject you to port in to Hotlink Prepaid.
I have been rejected by the Maxis center few time
Here are some rejected reason Maxis center told me:
1. The system which port in to Hotlink Prepaid is down, for whole Malaysia. (MidValley Maxis Center, Dec 2023)
2. Port in to Hotlink Prepaid required manager approval. (EkoCheras Maxis Center, March 2024)
I called Maxis 123 regarding these issue, Maxis call center said they cant do anything.
Call Center suggested me to do MNP online to avoid these issue.
