no unlimited data aka "50GB FUP"? only 2GB/4GB/10GB option?

if i still have data balance from previous month, will it be carried forward to next month within that 365 days active period?

I just use Hotlink 365 for 2 months now. Immediately after registered, i bought the RM30 for 365days validity.
Then another RM20 for the 10GB that can be used till 365 days if i didn’t finish it sooner.

No need to topup RM10 to stretch that 60 days validity then need to topup again.
I ain’t got time for that.

I bought this package for my BACKUP line should my main celcom line got problem (which does on certain times or when i go to place where celcom is not reachable )
Got unifi mobile for my ipad pro too but unifi mobile kinda suck in terms of coverage.

So the BEST backup redundancy system is having maxis Hotlink 365 combine with whatever main telco you are using.

Better get unifi mobile postpaid bro. Unlimited data.
Using hotlink pantas 20GB @ RM30 will run you dry within a shortwhile.

Much better for your ipad, like what i use for my ipad pro. During the 1st MCO, it was a god send since i got stranded at my parents’ house. But luckily got coverage.

But need to check unifi mobile coverage though, which is limited.

After buy hotlink pantas, immediately buy rm30 for 365 days validity & pay RM30 for 20GB data last the same as your 365 days validity.

Yes, this package is meant for 4G data purpose serve as backup to your main telco line. Put inside your portable 4G LTE personal router. Carry powerbank too just in case.

I am a satisfied user of this hotlink Pantas ( previously known as hotlink 365).

Coupled with my main celcom line, i could go anywhere within peninsular malaysia without worries of no coverage.

RM10 for 1 month.
RM120 for 1 year.

Too much hassle la need to manual topup every month.
Me just rm30 straight 365 days then i can spend (but not all) of that RM30 20GB worth of data.

The hotlinkMU selection, especially the 5GB valid for 3 days, 6GB valid for 2 days & 2GB valid for 1 day, are they hotspotable by default, provided we did purchase the 365 days active sim period activation?

Or i need to buy under Passes then only can use hotspot?

i realized that i STILL need to topup minimum rm10 per 60 days even if i applied the 365 days validity perk. otherwise my number will be rendered INACTIVE.
i thought by paying the rm30 once, no need to topup anymore within that year (except need to topup for more data of course).

But the validity will ends like in another few days though.

Ok i see the root cause of this problem already:

Since i only use Hotlink Pantas 365 exclusively for my office CCTVs, hence the data is not much utilized and it will trigger the SIM inactive account after 60 days of first minimum RM10 topup.



Your account/ SIM must be active for you to use any services (out going call & SMS, or browse the internet). You will be able to use your remaining quota once you have topped up.

The 365 days Active Period pass is priced at RM30 and can be purchase from your Hotlink app. By activating this pass, your account/ SIM will be active for 365 days (1 year) from the day of activation/ purchase. This means you do not have to constantly top up to keep your account/ SIM active.

So means, data transmission for CCTV (download/upload) only consume VERY LITTLE data (~20-50MB per CCTV @ 1080P resolution).

In the FAQ, in order to need to be active, i need to do out going call, SMS or BROWSE INTERNET. Browsing the net could consume anywhere from 100MB to ~1GB, depending on sites, especially those that have many multimedia contents in it?
Since my CCTVs just operate on an old chapalang TPlink MR200 4G Router with Hotlink Pantas in it, i guess i HAVE to topup minimum RM10 for every 60 days.

This was when i reloaded RM10 yesterday. Expiry will be on 25 Jan 2024






As you can see, the 20GB with 365 validity will end on 18 Feb 2023, but yesterday my line was rendered INACTIVE due to i didn't do outgoing calls,sms or browsing the net. Thus, i had to reload minimum RM10 to keep my line active for the next 30 days.

so the way i see it, in order to keep my line active is either i need to:

topup rm10 for every 30 days for the course of 365 days - RM10 per month x 12 = RM120

OR

within that 30 days, i need to connect to the 4G router and occasionally browse the internet, maybe watch a youtube video or two.

my CCTVs are for monitoring my workshop and my office is a bit far from that. that's why i do such setup.

so in conclusion, i can say Hotlink Pantas is not really suitable to use for CCTVs operation via 4G router.
but if you use in your smartphone, no need to topup min RM10 for every month.

So, the 30GB RM35 30 days validity is for those who really use internet to the max? Stream 4K, play mobile games every day?
Then only worth it.

As for us casual users, maybe hardly reach ~10GB per month due we already have broadbands at home & office.
But i still miss that 20GB 365D validity .
