There is nothing special about dual channel. Just think of it as two lane road. When you install 1 stick, it will only use 1 lane... 2 stick then 2 lanes are used.

hi guys, my 7-yrs-old laptop went kaput yesterday. thinking to get new laptop for day to day usage - mostly web browsing and netflix/youtube... my previous laptop (ROG ASUS) has 8gb of RAM and i normally open like 15 tab simultenously without problem. does 8gb RAM still enough for future proof? i don't play game on laptop anymore.

had some quick survey, Asus vivobook 16 caught my attention. price around rm2.5k which is within my budget. any better model/brand for this price range?

and i find that all laptop nowadays come with only 512gb SSD. I feel that not enough for me (my previous have 128gb SSD + 1TB HDD). In term of cost, would it better if i upgrade on the spot or i buy seperate ssd online and go to the shop to install for me? but then i have to buy again original windows 11?

The snapdragon laptop with OLED is even more expensive than IPS LED versions especially from Asus

Hi I am planning to buy laptop for typing, web surfing. Not going to use it every day. I need a good battery life and a quality laptop that can last for 7-10years. 16Gb RAM at least. Budget below rm3000.
Im thinking of Asus Vivobook.
Is there any significance difference bwtn Intel i7, Intel Core 5 series 1, Intel Core 7 series 1 and AMD Ryzen 9 processor?

I would be open to other brand as well
