I want to get a laptop for video editing. The software I usually use is premiere pro. I'd say I do medium amount of video editing, definitely not a pro heavy user. That's the only thing I do that is heavy on the laptop. No gaming.

Budget not more than RM 4k and as cheap as possible. Can recommend a laptop?

HP could be your consideration. Legion is better, but nowadays quite pricey dy even with discount code. Dell so-so. Acer also can consider.

I wanna know your opinions about Lunar Lake laptops. Not urgent but planning to get a laptop ard ~3k by next year Feb for some light gaming and android emulation.

Right now I have a Surface Pro 11 (X Plus). Amazing laptop especially for my HCI field, but a lot of problems related to compatibility are creeping up, but already expected that. (e.g. Team Fortress 2 crashing frequently, Girls Frontline 2 unable to launch etc).

1. Budget : max rm3k
2. Usage : old retired lady (65 +), mainly web browsing, online banking, microsoft office word processing, internet surfing, youtube.
3. Requirements (larger display (16" ?? ) , not too slow ( she complains about things loading slow), can last 5-8 years with basic usage.

Sorry if this has been asked before...

Laptop vs Desktop- The only key difference is mobility. If I'm going to use it at home 90% of the time, should I not just get a desktop?

Depends.

If you dont like to tinker with desktop, then buying a laptop make sense. I kinda hate the pricing for desktop nowadays that I ended up buying a gaming laptop for my son instead. Unless you wanna game at 1440p, most gaming laptop have no problem at 1080p nowadays.

Why not wait for Lunar Lake? This should be the APU to go for if all you need is a low power GPU which does enough.

Otherwise just get a gaming laptop. Bought my son an Acer Predator Helios 16 (I think is last gen) for RM3299 (plus another RM120 tng after registering). 13500HX 8GB RAM RTX4050 500GB NVME. Still havent upgrade the ram yet.

Can you tell me how you found this offer? This is one amazing price.
