For laptop anything below 17", avoid QHD really. It won't do any justice to the screen size. Unless you are kiasu for pixel count then go for it. QHD and above will be more relevant for external monitor size 24" and above.

Avoid the HP 15S-EQ2195AU or the 7300x/7520x series, these unlikely to meet your long term requirements. Look for 7530U at least of the HP range or similar. IdeaPad there is 1 model with 300 nits screen, but not 100% sRGB. HP ones usually 250 nits for the budget series. Or wait for next Lazada/Shopee sale, the discount is worth it.

Thank you, what about intel i5? Any series to avoid?

Intel 1335U and above, power efficiency.

Or Intel 125450H and above, power hungry series. Typically paired with NVIDIA GPU. Or the latest 13th gen H series.

Hello guys, finding a laptop for a student.

Doesnt mind spec but at least fast enough for doing works like word, powerpoint etc, occasional movie streaming and internet browsing.

Prefered 14 inch laptop, budget may be around RM2000, maybe can stretch a bit.

Hi Sifus

Looking for gaming laptop
Budget: below 7k

I was actually doing a comparison between G15 and Legion Pro 5i since it seems like these are the 2 more commonly recommended laptops.

Dell G15 - RM 5,999.00

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i - RM6,934.66
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

The main differences I see are:
- the processor (i7-13650HX vs i7-13700HX)
- the screen

But the price difference is RM900+.....
Are the differences worth? Am I correct to say Dell G15 is the better deal?
Want to see if anyone can point out something I didnt notice.
