Would like some recommendation on the Cheapest Telco plan with Unlimited Data and Unlimited Hotspot. Calls not important. Prepaid or postpaid also can.
Thank you in advance.

https://unifi.com.my/personal/mobile/bebas download app, buy 1 simpack @rm10 with free 7 days 4G unlimited usage to test first. Their 4G coverage a bit lacking compared to other big telcos. lurkingaround and ricardo_kaka87 liked this post

QUOTE(pcdoctor_my @ Jul 18 2021, 11:08 AM) 😄 Isn't it always the other way round? But it is an add-on, so Unifi can always pull the plug. It is a good mobile internet plan for stationary use (at office and home). Probably not so good for mobile use as Unifi has limited 4G coverage. |

If they pull the plug, come and message me in the future The data plan already comes included with Unlimited Hotspot. No FUP. So what makes you think they will pull the plug next year , next month or tommorow? Its not like Hotlink and their optional RM 5 "Hotspot" add on. And just FYI, Unifi has a Multi-Operator Core Networks (MOCN) agreement with Celcom, meaning they share 4G tower sites with Celcom (But they don't share bandwidth with Celcom, Google more about MOCN). So that improves their coverage. Read more my friend, before you spill unverified info about Unifi Mobile. This post has been edited by pcdoctor_my: Jul 18 2021, 01:37 PM |

Can I ‘tumpang’ and ask is there a plan just for data where a one off payment is made for the duration of a year provided the quota is not exhausted?
Any telco offering this now? TQ. |

If, still insist, try auto-debit feature rather than 12-month one-off commitment... the P1 webe #BEBAS RM35/month Unlimited Hotspot "up to" 8Mbps data is not auto-renew package unfortunately... Of course, TM UF won't do so because of stiff competition from other celcos since June 2020, eg Maxis HUP35, Digi DUP35, U Mobile GX38, etc. ....... After they ended their RM 20 for 20GB, I think alot of Yoodo users got pissed off, and subsequently ported out. Now Yoodo has returned back the RM 20 for 20GB. Cause Yes4G has RM 20 for 20GB too. Thats what I have been telling svchia78, If they "pull" the plug, it will cause an uproar and a lot of them will just port out. About HUP - Alot of users think its misleading to the term "unlimited". In Maxis's term - its still legally called Unlimited Data, because the data still continue even after 50GB, even with throttled speed. So they are legally correct. But majority choose to be ignorant, and say it must be "Unlimited speed" (without the 3 or 6Mbps speed cap). They don't like the FUP part. They want to abuse it. Its just like we have a legal highway speed of 110, but many still wanna blast till 140-150. What maxis should do , is increase FUP to 80GB, but that will hurt their Postpaid offerings. Thats where Unifi Bebas has its advantage - No FUP limit, and the cheapest with Unlimited Hotspot offering without FUP limit , next to HUP35. If you don't pay RM35.00, you are just gonna use up the bundled (2+1) GB. It was not my own creation that it would or would not be "pulled" by Unifi. Perhaps you yourself should read the terms and conditions/ FAQs here: FAQs Pulling the plug, FYI, does not just mean taking the plan off totally. Unifi could just revert it back to RM55.00/ month. If that's not "pulling the plug", then what should I call it in your educated and very informed background and knowledge? School me on that, please. When even MVNOs ridiing on celcom's line have issues, what guarantee there is Unifi will not suffer the same? Oh.... Talking like a smartass is more suited in /k. Peace ✌️ |

It is because of the combination of different offerings by telcos and suitability to different customers that we have a vibrant and competitive telco market in Malaysia. RM35/ month unlimited Unifi Bebas2Enjoy (with slow-er speed) is not necessarily better than RM35/month for 30GB on Digi. |

I repeat to everyone here, DO NOT TAKE UNIFI with contract. You will regret! Really regret! Like me, after using 2-3 months in KV, the speeds are nonsense and so damn farking slow. I terminated by paying the remaining months of the contract. Really regret as usually I do not get contract plans but see the brand TM. kena tipu! If you prefer fast speeds, avoid it at all costs! So pay RM200 per year and can use when the speed is OK. What if after pay RM200, cannot use "satisfactorily" for the rest of 11 months? Forfeited the RM200 and MNP out? If this "risk" is acceptable, then, proceed.

The only solutions for locations without Fibre/Copper and 4G/3G network coverage like yours may be: 1. Very expensive Satellite Internet. ... https://connectme.my/plans ... https://connectmenow.my/ = a Maxis's affiiate. 2. Go to a location that has the needed coverage for unlimited 4G/3G hotspot data to WFH, eg the nearest town. . P S - EDGE = 2G Internet = normally 0.4Mbps only. . |

QUOTE(AeolusLite @ Feb 3 2023, 04:43 PM) Yes. Since I believe TM aint blind / stupid to not realize that some users use UNIFI Bebas on routers. Thats why they are limiting to 60GB now. QUOTE(JonSpark @ Jan 11 2023, 03:29 PM) Lets see, we have:*DIGI Wireless Broadband : https://www.digi.com.my/broadband/mobile-broadband Up to 100GB plus free 50GB per month option (1 year only I suppose). *Maxis Home 4G WIFI: https://www.maxis.com.my/en/broadband/maxis-home-4g-wifi/ RM 138 unlimited with optional RM 1 router , 12 months contract FUP - 300GB . Which is very sufficient, honestly, for an average Joe. *Celcom Home Wireless BB: https://www.celcom.com.my/personal/broadband RM 100 for 100GB onwards. Comes with router and 12 months contract. These are the halal internet packages BTW. So dont complain why so much more expensive. This post has been edited by pcdoctor_my: Feb 5 2023, 04:09 PM |
