Hi everyone, any recommendation on what to buy to record high quality live audio to PC?

Hardware, software, accessories. Brands and models?

Like the one youtubers and podcast use?

You can reuse this unit for vlogging also. And not stuck to just streaming. Save cost this way if you decide to do something else.

Hi,

I am not really sure about podcast etc but what you need is:
1. External Soundcard
2. Good quality Microphone
3. A DAW that is easy for you to use and fits your workflow.

if you want to record multiple sources (like a band) then you should use something like a roland octocapture.

if you just want to record your voice you can get a microphone that has a soundcard built in - something like the blue yeti mic.

for software (called a DAW - Digital Audio Workstation) again - i am not sure about podcasting etc but for a band then a lot of people are using Reaper

A very informative website is here: https://www.soundonsound.com/recording

For equipment in Malaysia i personally use Shaun at www.sonica.com.my, he has a good range of gear, is very informative and most of all very honest.

Best of luck on your recording journey.

Jonni
