hi all.. congrats on the new car..
as you all can see, my posting are getting more and more ridiculous already..
i just don't know what to else to say.. but i does feels great to share our experience with our baby together. this should be my last post for the week as i'll be heading for kampung tomorrow.
the reverse sensor, yeah i notice it too.. the reverse sensor sound is too soft that i had to mute the radio.
1 week driving, parking still i cannot get it right. im totally blind when it comes to rear viewing and totally depend on the beeping sound and act like a jedi using 'the force'.
seatbelts, did you guys notice how fast the belts go when you release them? its like going after your face or the window glass! maybe its still new?
today i started doing aggressive driving.. to really test the car on the road.
steering - steering is relatively heavier for a new car. could it be tyres still new?
when going through bumps and holes, im happy with how it dampens and wheel absorb the impact, (probably all bushes still new). but im not fully impressed with how the car bounce.(comparing to 7 year old renault and waja). i felt like the bounce is a bit hard (kinda sporty) and not being kind to your kidney. my only explanation is because the seatings are pretty low.???
again on the FC, the best i can get is also 10.5l/100km as stated in the meter. im driving auto but still i want it to be lower. maybe im expecting too much from a heavy car. its fun playing with the FC meter as i can see an increase to 14l/100km when carrying full occupants.
but my own calculation give a bit different reading from fc meter. every rm10 can only get me 40-45km. when FC meter tells me i should get around 50km. maybe a couple more round will give me more accurate reading. i also notice my campro engine when warm idling rpm is 0.9 whereas mitsu waja (manual) is only 0.65 both with or without aircond. this can translate to higher fc. mine is auto can anybody tell me whats the reading for campro manual?
on the campro performance, i'd say its great once we get used to it. proton said theyve improve the TCU but sometimes i can still feel the tork dip present especially climbing uphill. i like to think of it like a turbo lag you know, once pass it, the car will scream and fly. people who said campro is not powerful simply dont know how to drive or 'buta hati' aka blind basher driving. when climbing uphil, if you feel the lag, dont layan the lag!. step on it a bit more till change to lower gear, problem solve! and no, high revving wont hurt a high rev engine.
other than that, i cant seem to find any defect with the car for me to complain.
steering felt "heavy" cuz due to the "point and feel" concept...
so that u have more feel of the road / pin point direction or something like that..
