From the image ts shares, what I can see is short burst, allowed by shapers. It will allow to beyond cir for a while then reduce the rate to smoothen traffic. It's hard to check with tm since they won't provide. Noted that you mentioned you have checked qos. If Cisco router I can check the config if you attach here. Not other device though. Do you have another vendor router to test this?

Please correct me if I have the wrong understanding, but the "short bursts" that you're seeing in the graph are not really short. That graph shows data over 16 days so the spikes that look like bursts are in fact over a period of few hours up to few days. That is to say, I can sustain consistent 500mbps speeds over a few hours/days, then it will suddenly drop.

99.5% local servers. Sometimes the automated server picks a server in Indonesia but only happened a few times.

Been in this situation before. TM only says whatever advertised speed to TM server, not to other server for speedtest. Have you tried doing the same test only to TM servers? Would like to see the results of that as well.

Like you also, I previously complained a lot-then they told me that is only to TM servers. When I tried to TM servers, it is the correct speed. Outside TM they cannot control. Since T&C written like that. Can fight but waste time. Been calling centre for years now.

In my household, in total have about 27 connected devices. 3 users on Zoom/webex/teams onedrive/dropbox during workday. 4 streams of netflix/youtube. Using Adobe Premier to edit videos. All media stored in Onedrive enterprise. I downgraded from 300 mbs to 30 mbs after finish the 2 years. Happy since my upload speed is still 50 mbs. Still unlimited data. More than enough for my use. I noticed that aside from my heavy workload from time to time, 4k videos require lots of data. All users working conference calls at the same time is not affected. Almost saturate 30mbs, but not affected.

I did not automate the speedtest to run purely on TM server, but I did manual verification when reporting to TM:

I have 800Mbps package but can only get that speed if I do a Safe mode boot. Otherwise, best around 500Mbps.

maybe your pc has something going on in the background or you can share with us what spec is your pc..

ok, then you have a problem there of unknown origin. Maybe can try keep proof using TM's own server.

I don't quite believe this is caused by congestion though. Have a look at the graph, the variance is very small. It is either 500+/-mbps or 300+/-mbps with almost nothing in between. It has also never dropped below 300mbps either. It looks like an artificial cap.
*
my guess

-your area congestion
-local server congestion at peak hour (MYIX/TIME and etc) which happen daily
-pc hardware/software issue - antivirus / firewall / or some third party unknown software / router

and lastly when you report to TM did they sent someone to your house to check on it? like fiber reading on FDP ? or BTU reconfiguration ?

the usual stuff. MS office. Anti-virus. Firewall. VPN but switched off when doing testing.

Even with the latest Samsung phone and placing next to the router connected to 5Ghz, around 600 Mbps max. Never 800 Mpbs

Hi guys, does anyone have experienced on the disconnection when doing P2P? Recently, I've got disconnected when downloading torrent files. I had no issues for the past few months until last week. I suspect TM could throttle the bandwidth or block P2P.

Maybe your router overloaded?
I had similar experience before,When the software had too many connection, the router cant support, then suddenly you will found out your internet start having problem like website cant accessible or high latency or other similar problem.
It looks like still got internet but this second got internet next second no internet.

Thanks for your input. Initially, I thought it was my router's issue. Then I rebooted the router and even reset it and re-setup it again. The issue of disconnection is still persist whenever I'm on P2P or downloading the torrent files. Done the troubleshoot by trying not to do P2P for awhile and the connection was stable for hours without any issues and the minute when I'm on P2P then I got disconnected less than a minute. Checked the log files, it is the connection time-out. It was done by the ISP. I've lodged a report to TM and they said will request their technical team to fix my connection issue.

I was wondering what's the point of upgrading to Unifi so-called Turbo when you can't have a stable connection on P2P downloads.

Everyone is staying at home now and congestion is unavoidable

Every consumer ISPs in the world will oversell their bandwidth else your Internet will cost significantly more

Agree. My monthly usage before Covid rarely exceed 600 GB. Now it's 1.2 - 1.4 TB

Referring to my graph? I'm not sending any files. That graph represents the results of speedtest in mbps.
