not sure anyone use/know this function on samsung keyboard
if select swipe as move cursor, you can swipe anywhere to move pointer
2 finger swipe left undo action,
hold down shift+swipe, highlight text
as already show on keyboard setting on this function

normally tap backspace you delete word on left,
and if you hold shift+ backspace, it delete word on right

Downgrade as i read you need download whole firmware, like on sammobile, updato, then use odin to flash, but will reset phone
