HEPA comes with a standard, however so long your filter met with the minimum requirement, you can call the filter HEPA. So most good filters actually have standards better than HEPA to filter smaller dust particles and even virus.

Since your kid is allergic, suggest you go to
https://www.allergyuk.org/get-help/products...ifiers#products

click on the filter to see what are the products recommended able to filter off the allergens you're facing

So far I think the only one that can get rid of everything is Amway Atmosphere Sky

Am using one, and I can attest to its performance.

PM if you wanna know more

Ionizer uses an electrical charge to remove dust particles, but cannot filter gas and odor.

Mechanical filter still better in being all rounded.

Also after dust particles are ionized, they are not being trapped at the filter, hence will feel that floors are dustier.

You need to buy few units to place in different places.

Other than air purifier, you need to get rid of carpets, avoid fabric sofas, wash curtains, bed sheets, pillows and air cond filters frequently,

Set your spending range then we can give suggestion what you can look at it. Otherwise, if u just concern about dust, currently in market there are rm300 - rm800 airpurifer with hepa filter can work well too.

noted with your suggestion...not setting a budget but if it is a product worth to buy, not mind at all
since kid always sneeze, will be great if the purifier can reduce airborne virus or pollutants
different hepa filter has different function?

Myself suffering from sinus since i was kid, yet my current air purifier do help me solve this problem after one month i use it.... and until now already around 2 years, no more sinus in the morning like those days.........

According to WHO, only hepa filter able to filter viruses.........

Usually, in the market.... most HEPA filter are with 0.3 micron filtration.
But..... viruses are usually 0.1 micron or smaller than that.... so common air purifier with 0.3 micron dont really can filter viruses.

Would recommend you can try the air purifier i use currently, it's HEPA+, which is 125x better than HEPA.

am using Coway Lombok 2, can notice the fur of dog blocked at filter side, no issue on its fur so cant tell whether got any difference.

u mean TP09? looks good and able to filter formaldehyde, can wait for more reviews if wan more confirm
if budget and maintenance fee is not a problem just go ahead

thank you for sharing ur experience...yeah virus usually smaller
that's also reason why im eyeing on dyson new air purifier since it can filter ultra fine dust, pollutant as small as 0.1
if want to get one, don't mind to get a more expensive one so can use at ease
