Hi Maison, will a 3-strip timber flooring look better for a small house?

Maison, have you heard of this practice where the gaps of the service hole in plaster ceiling is fully sealed up for better aesthetic and only cut away and resealed again after use. The guy I talked to is from China and he said there’s a plaster cream or something to seal up the gaps.
