heres how i do to avoid lost of parts......try to fix your kit on a place that is clear...... and i put a newspaper as my fixing kits mat....so that it is easier to spot if your kit drop......if possible try to buy a white cloth as a fixing mat......oh yeah i fix my kit on the floor so it wont jump so far from me.....been doing this for 8 years.......easier to search your tiny parts....

To naith, as zeff here has stated, when building your model kits, make sure the area is clear of everything and anything. I only build my models on my "cubicle table". You know, the ones you see in any company office with 3 partitions and soft board. With the soft board, I can pin my assembly guide instructions on it.
