QUOTE(thor74 @ Jul 31 2021, 10:08 PM) To finish the stock & whatever they have left over. I think there's a long list of threads debating about sinovac efficiency already in the forum.I also believe most Klang Valley folks are getting Sinovac since they are vaccinating at higher rate here. If the Sinovac efficiency is not good, the breakthrough will be higher so the hot spots will remain here. You can see that KL already achieved more than 100% vaccination rate, but remains the 2nd highest covid cases after Selangor & no of ICUs are quite high. Even they can reduce 50% of ICUs among oldies who got the vaccines ealier (phase 2), so there is a concern the vaccine is maybe 50-60% efficient. At this rate, any percentage is better than 0%. At least it gives the body a fighting chance. And these vaccines were manufactured before the Delta variant. And if it's needed, there will be 3rd, 4th shots to boost the immunity like the yearly flu shots that the west always takes. Even Israel admitted that Pfizer is not good against Delta, the infectious rate remains high. Unfortunately, we cannot choose our vaccines. And out of sudden, they want to introduce walk-in. So yeah, i guess thanks for doing such a poor planning? I myself got my first jab of sinovac about 15 days ago, waiting for the next jab. My entire family got sinovac, except my brother who registered recently and got pfizers. Honestly, I am more worried about my parents. But no choice..... sigh... For 2nd dose will we face crowding issues? As I’m taking my 2nd dose and based on the list I saw, my vaccination centre is the only walk-in for Klang.

QUOTE(ScooterBoi @ Dec 18 2021, 05:38 AM) https://selcareclinic.com/our-clinics/ These clinics provide sinovac?By the way... there are only 7 selcare clinics in Selangor, wherea there are 8 in KL. Location of the 7 Selcare clinics in Selangor: - Desa Mentari - Puchong - Putrajaya - Sentosa, Klang - Shah Alam (Section 13) - Skypark Subang - USJ Sentral ---+---+---- Downloaded selangkah app, and registered name, i/c, and phone... then tried to book an appointment for a booster shot after filling in more personal details including email address... It looks like all the clinics in Selangor no more slots available... Tried the clinics in KL, just to look see... available dates from 10 January onwards. So I assume that all others are Pfizers? |

QUOTE(ScooterBoi @ Dec 18 2021, 07:06 PM) This is sinovac booster under the Selangor state government, which I had posted more info in another thread. they have to clear the expiring pfizers first.About 157,000 doses free to residents in Selangor. The shortcomings in the program: - selcare clinics are not through out the state. Half of them are in KL. - the amount of doses given out are not that huge... almost all of them already fully taken and booked. They should make more doses available... I believed they still have hundreds of thousands unsold doses in the warehouse. |
