Swift Haulage and its subsidiaries are principally involved in the provision of integrated logistics services comprising container haulage, land transportation, warehousing and container depot, freight forwarding agency services in Malaysia and Thailand, and investment holding.


IPO of up to 314,142,900 ordinary shares in Swift Haulage Berhad (“Swift Haulage Shares”) in conjunction with the listing of and quotation for the entire enlarged issued shares in Swift Haulage on the Main Market comprising an offer for sale of up to 157,000,000 existing Swift Haulage Shares and a public issue of 157,142,900 new Swift Haulage Shares involving:

i. Institutional offering of up to 275,209,400 Swift Haulage Shares to institutional and selected investors, including Bumiputera investors approved by Ministry of International Trade and Industry.; and

ii. Retail offering of 38,933,500 Swift Haulage Shares to Malaysian public and the eligible directors, employees and persons who have contributed to the success of Swift Haulage and its subsidiaries.

Retail offering so less weh. Other IPO already cant get this one no need think liao. Nowaday all SME unknown companies also can list. Hmm seems like IPO is not a "wow your company must be so huge and profitable to be listed" anymore.

Yawor..quite sad actually. People do not have other way to park their money but only in IPO. Then lost its meaning of what exactly IPO is, what stock trading is. But anyway, we all do. Just fed up when out of nowhere kacang putik company can be listed. The only companies that make money is Investment Bank / Promoter / Lawyer etc that assist them in listing requirements.

Yeahh IB and other parties will make sure they "meet" their requirements. Anyway there is supply and there is demand. So..it's kinda fair? Soon whatever IPO / listed companies lose their meaning already. Whatever listed, doesn't mean they're profitable, just for the sake of the "Berhad" name.

For main market listing, it must be profitable as per the equity guidelines, but the question is, how profitable are they only.

meanwhile for ace market, not necessary, but there's an unwritten rule, if it's not profitable (even in 2-3 years time), then don't bother to submit the IPO application.

Swift Haulage 2Q net profit increases 14% as business activities recover

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 17): Integrated logistics service provider Swift Haulage Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2022 (2QFY22) rose 13.71% to RM13.19 million from RM11.60 million a year ago, driven by the easing of Covid-19 restrictions and recovery of business activities.

“The second quarter of the year saw robust domestic economic growth largely driven by rising demand as economic activities normalised, [and] the easing of containment measures [has a] positive impact [on] our business,” said the group in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Earnings per share expanded to 1.48 sen per share in 2QFY22, from 2.23 sen in 2QFY21.

Quarterly revenue gained 11.04% to RM160.12 million, from RM144.20 million previously.

Swift Haulage said 2QFY22 revenue was primarily contributed by container haulage of RM69.5 million and land transportation of RM53.6 million, which accounted for 76.9% of the group’s total revenue in the current quarter.

Other business segments made up the rest of the revenue for 2QFY22, with warehousing and container depot contributing RM19.8 million and freight forwarding contributing RM17.2 million.

Swift has declared a single-tier interim dividend of one sen per share, payable on Oct 21, 2022.

For the cumulative six months ended June 30, 2022 (6MFY22), net profit increased 23.42% to RM27.50 million, from RM22.28 million a year before. Revenue expanded 7.77% to RM320.42 million from RM297.32 million.

Going forward, the group said it will continue to focus on expanding its customer base domestically and regionally.

“Despite the foreseeable hurdles, we aim to continue leveraging on all possible opportunities to drive another year of solid and resilient results,” it added.

Swift closed unchanged at 57.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM512 million. It has lost 44% from its listing price of RM1.03.
