since now wfh, been spending more time at home with fam and more time to take care of house chores
due to pandemic, everyone been more alert about hygiene...recently, see that there is some weird smell coming from furniture
at first thought maybe kids pour liquid on it but even after cleaning seems the smell remain esp in the living room
anyway to deal with it?

Find the source first la. Might be mold or something.

yeah need to find the smell and eventually after researched it seems to be something called formaldehyde
usually find in wood products, furniture etc it seems like common issue for furniture
but not gonna throw the sofa since it is still good...would air purifier help in this case?

Bring that furniture go under the sun for few days...
if it is milk that seep into it.. u can bet there are maggots chewing on ur furniture

prev did and not really solve the issue...
as spoken above it is some colorless gas call formaldehyde
my sofa has wood material so guess it is common to have that smell of it
thinking to buy air purifier to reduce this problem as it will pollute air quality
