Since you are ok with online class, why not try Udemy? Price is reasonable if you purchase during promo, which happens every month. While courses so far I am satisfied with the materials and quality. If you dont like what you purchased, can request refund too.

I previously took part time Japanese classes in 2015-2019 at ICLS, stopped since pandemic. They offer online classes since pandemic, but I prefer physical class and at the same time, a little rusty and not confident to hop right back into it. Each course (18*2 hours classes) ranges RM450-500, including Minna no Nihongo textbook (about 50+ depending on level, I forgot), and it only covers a small part on the JLPT level. For example my case, I've taken like 9 courses so far, my JLPT equivalent is between N3-4 (I've not taken the exam yet, but our sensei has given us some N3 exam questions as tutorials before).

ICLS has several branches, you can Google and see. The difference between branches is that you may get different teachers, because not all of them attend the same branches. My experience back then was that they're all good teachers, Japanese nationals so they also taught us the modern Japanese differences and some cultural meaning behind some of the words. You don't have to pick a branch right now because they allow to transfer branches*, but later on you may want to decide on one you want to transition to physical class in the future.

Transfer to a branch is best done in between courses, so you can just wait for the next appropriate level of course to be offered, and join from start. If for any reason you transfer while your course is ongoing, they'll accommodate based on current available classes, the timeslot might not be suitable.

Extra: My friend's class was still ongoing when pandemic hit and lockdown began, so they went straight to online classes. They got a short end of the stick, as it turned out the old unker sensei was not good at teaching online. They actually made enough complaints to have the sensei replaced.... *Shrug*

Thanks for your suggestion, I found few negative comments about ICLS from Google and I think native speaker could be good lecturing at physical class, but good to know there is flexibility on transfer class to another branch and location is very strategic.

If you're a beginner or in N4, you can consider this:
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=101055062

However it's not an institution, an individual (Japanese native that you're looking for) conducting lessons based on Minna no Nihongo book.

Thanks for your suggestion, it looks like freelancer offering Japanese learning session? But good to know it considered very cheap lesson.

Duolingo might serve as good way to pick up basic, and can pick up training from time to time, quite convenient for me.
