Position for a "Brain Stormer" for an upcoming "Gaming Blog/Site".

As per thread title, we are looking for two(2) "Brain Stormers" to fill in these positions for an upcoming "Gaming Blog/Site". Your responsibilities and tasks are to improve many aspects of this gaming blog/site through guidance, and direction. You will also be responsible for coming up with unique ideas, on how and where to improve, in order to push our blog/site into a further and improved development. You will also be the pioneer, one of the core members of this team.

Requirements:

• Innovative!
• Must have sense of humor, wit, and some sarcasm.
• Dedicated.
• Have no life. A little bit is fine.
• An interest in starting gaming blog/rant/review site.
• Being able to think outside the box.
• Short vision (not your eyesight!)
• Able to come up with new ideas.
• Have own transport (for meeting up/discussions).
• In-tuned with the gaming world, and have passion for it.
• Passion for writing is a must.
• Must not smell.

Additionally, here are some attributes that we are also looking for in a core member of this team.

• Being able to work for free (eventually, you will be paid in long term).
• Experience as a web designer is an added +.
• Being a blogger is also an added +.
• Being a hawt chick gives you infinite +'s.
• And more.. but can't think now.

Simply put, writers will be responsible for handling daily to non-daily articles and reports. We will be segregating the individuals, as we see fit depending on your writing style, and which category you may belong to. This is how we are going to do this.

Your are required to write one(1) article for us to review, you may choose between the two topic options.

There is no limit to how much you can write, so go crazy. This article, is to be handed up as soon as possible(2 days), as we will require time to read through, and review the articles. Articles must be sent to me, and/or Reveur.

On the 19th of September, we will no longer accept any new applicants, and on that day itself, we would decide on the writers that we like And once that happens, we would be scheduled to meet each other, and have a discussion on the 23rd if it's possible.

Wow, I would love to contribute reviews, but sadly only for NDSL. Plus, i'm nowhere near KL for the next 2 years (As in residing). And even when I'm back, I wouldn't know how work will bring me down.

No worries. If this goes well. We will be based in kl but contributors can be based at anywhere. What we really want right now are partners and co organizer for this project. Ppl that will spear head this program. Hence we require this spear header to be located within kl to easily meet up and smack each other if something goes wrong. ( You will get off easily if you are too far )

Any aspiring writers want to try their luck and skill in writing? Do apply! There is no discrimination here. Even if your grammar sucks ( mine does ) or your spelling is shiat ( I can't write decently without a spell checker ) It does not matter! As the only thing we are really interested in is your thoughts as an individual.

So instead of ranting in the forum where you will be dismissed in less time then a person sneeze, why not apply for our site, make your thought heard and make it mean something!

We're looking for contributors from anywhere really, but if you are located in M'sia, then it'd be better because we wanna have face-to-face meetings more often.

attend launch of games, products, write ups, willing to and able travel to E3, TGS, GCA. liepzig game show, Taipei game show, chinajoy, etc.. etc..etc.. to cover events and such as media roles. u need to own your own transport, highly prefered and need to be highly independent

also responsible in writing game manuals, FAQs, manage game forums, communities, etc..

this is a snr role, we hire u, u build your own team up. u also need to manage budgets and financials for freelance writers, and other cost in associating in building up content.

not trying to kill anyone off. that type of mentality will stiffle the growth of the gaming industry ecosystem, for me its not just a passion or a hobby or a sideline, this is opputunity that some folks needed or wanted to have a footing in the games industry and build their carreer.

btw not just hiring content writers, i am also hiring web developers - ASP/PHP, mysql, database, etc..etc.. and game developers -API's. SDKs, DirextX programers or XNA, etc..etc.. so u know anyone give me a shout.

But seriously lordie. Its all for the good of community and all.. And I do not object to your point of view at all. But the thing is this. Be it job providing or what not.. I believe we can practice a certain professional courtesy and what not right?

I believe there is something that both of us are trying to accomplish, and I can see in the future that if both you and our project kicks off we will be symbiotic so to speak. And i can see a relationship born between your project and ours.

But I would fully appreciate it that if you would let our lil project grow on its own and not make our job any more harder. I am pretty sure you would not appreciate it if I were to go to your thread and start recruiting from your thread right?

infact if i have a thread on recuitment u are welcome to theadjack and infact if i have candidates that are not suitable but more suitable for your company, i will forward u those resume for your perusal just drop me an email and i will recomend the candidate about your project and if they are keen i will forward their cv/resume to you.

i did that in singapore and help a lot of ppl getting a foot in companies like EA, IAH, 10Tacle, etc..etc.. i did some mentorship for a few folks in sg back then, and see their projects take off as well.

its for the good of the industry. infact i want to hire someone like yourself rev, that can take leadership roles, independent and passion for the business. if u keen talk to me, salary packages depends on your qualification and experience.

btw we are not doing console ;p we are doing mostly and mainly MMOGs & PC Online stuff. and its not a blogsite either, its something bigger. and its not like playstix.

i got a snr position open ;p. if u are up for it. maybe not content director or that lvl but i got a manager spot open and 1 exec stuff open currently. but manager spot the requirement is in my post. its more management and stratergy than just writting. u need to build a team and maange them and manage budget finances, freelance writers. etc..etc.. and u need to know a bit of everything to co-ordinate your content team with the web devt team. smooth rough ages, mediate conflicts, etc..etc.. the list is long lah if u know what i mean

and u can keep your blog or hobby site open if its not a direct conflict of interest. when passion and hobby become work. u need another outlet ;p i understand that, got that problem before.

as i said before if u are keen bounce your cv to me, and i arrange an interview the 1st of a series of 2. one with me and 1 with the CEO/Managing director.
