Hi, im also facing hair thining especially at crown area. It all started when I started to apply garnier hair dye to cover up my white hair. On my 2nd attempt to apply hair dye I noticed hair thinning at crown area. So I decided to try out all this oil on in the internet. Consistent using rosemary oil but could not see any changes.

Came across this topic on lowyat forum. Decided to visit Dr.ranjit itself. My first appointment was with a lady doctor, she did look into my hair and showed up in TV. She said hair follicles are there but the hair is thinning, she prescribed pyrida (night), biotin (morning), hair spray and shampoo.

Im on my 1.5 months, will be having appointment with Dr.ranjit himself soon. In this 1.5 months, I have noticed a lot of hair fall while combing my hair and it kinda scares me. As the lady doctor told me that on 2nd months i could see a lot of baby hairs will grow out. Hopefully to have good news on my 2nd appointment with Dr.ranjit.

Since i started taking the medication, i have not applied or taken anything else for my hair problems.

Question to people who have visited Dr.ranjit before, when did u see the progress? on which months? anyone stopped taking medication and still can maintain the hair ?

I dont stick with any particular brand. I just use what's available and seems legit enough on Shopee or Lazada when I need to restock.

Update: I now use proscar and split each pill to 4, and oral minoxidil. I get them from doc on call

Just to help out some folks here.

Am on Dr.Ranjit's meds but heres a brief summary.
I am overweight BMI within 27.5 to 27.7. Hair was thinning in 2014 with balding occuring by 2016 M shape head occuring. By 2017 i looked very botak now. Did medical checkup blood checks and thyroid was told mine was genetic but again my dad only started balding at his early 50s. Meanwhile im in my mid 20s and it is happening.

Early 2018 was recommended by my relative to seek consultation at his clinic. But was instead met with the female doctor. Scoping my forehead was told by her that i still had a lot of hair follicles but 0 growth while the front part of my hair had too many thinning weak hair. Was prescribe 3 months of morning Biotin pills, night pills(was told its function was to improve blood circulation to scalp at night), Tonic spray(ingredients seems to show sort of vitamin A,C,E). Told to come back after 3 months. Was told the 1st month i would drop a lot more hair than usual as norm. What i noted by the 2nd month was my fingernails and toe nails was growing quite quickly but nothing noted on my hair.

Came back for consultation after 3 months. This time meeting Ranjit himself. Scoping out a lot of baby hair grew(one follicle had 1-2 baby hair) but was told these baby hair wont survive long term. Was prescribe 6 months of the same meds except the morning biotin pills was switched to a morning herbal pills.

After this 2nd consultation on 2months so far few things have happened. My hair was thickening plus my front part of the scalp had a lot of hair growing. Was noted by colleagues and relatives that i was having quite nice hair now. Though some of the annoyance now my finger nails was growing and needing trimming quite often, my hands started having more hair as well. So far no noted side effects with annual medical check up on blood work. Also noted my scalp stopped being oily.

6 months in my hair has thicken and a lot of new hair had grown. Went back to his clinic for consultation. Scope showed those baby hair follicles are no longer baby hair like and instead each follicles have now 2-3 normal hair growing. Doctor decided i no longer needed the night meds. But says i still need morning herbal pills and tonic spray except i can opt not to take them everyday. Also was authorised to no longer meet him personally for consultation and i can just buy his meds from the counter. Note that clinic is crazily full almost all the time. Even meds collection can be long. SS15 subang jaya is also not an easy place to find parking.

My routine since then was to take the morning pills 3-5x a week and spraying the tonic 3x a week. Every 6 months i would visit his clinic SS15 to buy back the meds. Definitely not cheap long term as it is around RM85 per month for the morning pills while to tonic spray was around rm100 something and one bottle could last almost 6 months with the 3x weekly use.

Fast forward to 2020 Pandemic MCO. I did not have time to visit his clinic physically by the middle of the year. This was also the time i considered stopping his meds for good. Except it didnt go well. 3 months in of stopping i noticed my hair was thinning even the hair inside my nose was falling off. On the 4th month stopping, hair on the front part of my head was falling quite a lot. Tried remedy of consuming nuts like almonds, pumpkin seeds, wallnut even trimming down my weight with exercising and eating more balanced diet but those did nothing much. Ended up repurchasing his meds(still without buying back the night pills). I got my hair back thick and growing 2 months in.

Forward again to 2024 again tried to stop it and have a look. Again same issue thinning and falling occuring months after stopping. Technically it seems his meds is something i need to continuously take. Alternative consumption of the pills and 3x weekly appliance of the tonic seems to work for me now.

I recommended his meds to 2 colleagues. 1 had major improvements like mine and has switched to alternative consumption schedule of his meds and tonic spray applying like me. However the other colleague had not much improvement and i was told the doctor floated the idea of giving him finasteride pills which can effect hormones. So far have yet to hear if he actually prescribe Minoxidil but he does have a form finasteride pills that he prescribe for patient who have no progress after consuming his herbal pills.

In conclusion from my perspective.
Technically Dr.Ranjit meds may not work for everyone. If it does, its more likely a long term consumption required though one may opt alternative day or not really requiring to consume it everyday once your hair have started growing and maintaining an optimum thickness. If cost is an issue i actually think hair transplant might be a better long term solution. If that is also an issue going full bald is actually the best outcome.

The medications can prevent hair loss but the prevention is not a cure. Stop them and the hair loss begins again. Hair transplant is a more permanent solution.

Yes definitely. But for my case if i were to get a transplant i would still have many issues like brittle and slow growing fingernails, lack of hair inside my nose and hands. Technically i think some of us are having some sort of enzyme absorption deficiency but my medical doctor has been saying its genetic male pattern baldness which i think its not really the case.

Brittle nail syndrome (onychorrhexis and onychoschizia) and hair loss may be associated with biotin deficiency…. Anyway, I really shouldn’t meddle, since I’m not your primary doctor. Just that medical mysteries intrigue me, they always have.

Ah yes. Dr Ranjit confirmed it's telogen phase. Resolved on its own. I stopped shedding hair after 5-6 months I think. Hair thinned 40%? Now 90% grown back except the corner of frontal lobe. So trying to use hair tonic to restore them but making very slow progress.

Most case works well with oral. U can search QR 678 NEO. Its medical proven with clinical studies. If you dont wanna do implant. Can try injection 💉 nothing to loose. Seek for consultation from Dr first. Men hair loose is easier to tackle.
