just got back from Queensbay Mall's Switch...

I present to you all... ipod touch. Played around with the 8gig version. there's no screen protector tailored for ipod touch yet but they applied some other ipod's screen protector around it.

My first impression was wow.. it really does function like what they've showed us. Multi-touch is just nice when browsing photos and zooming around Safari.
Music's good, but when i was testing out the video.. played Spiderman 3 trailer... couldn't really sure whether it has the negative black effects or not... its not that obvious but then.. i duno, maybe my eyes are fooling with me. checked the serial.. it's week 38 batch.. anyone who bought it can confirm perhaps?

going in safari gives me the google.com.my page. but no luck browsing any page at all. probably cos bandwidth have been used up around the outlet.

within first few minutes, potential buyers already stormed the counter and demanding for the player... hahaaha biggrin.gif
selling like hot cakes.. i predict it's gonna be sold out either by tonite or tomorrow...

You need to log into the access point befoe you can open any page in Safari. Otherwise it would give a blank page. Also, once logged into, with password and all, it will stay until you choose "Forget network". Dangerous for password protected encrypted network......

erm, i think if not mistaken they already logged it in. Kinda slow there though.. oh well.. smile.gif still deciding. Anyone else bought one?

you know, i've read thru and come to see that the difference between iphone and an ipod touch is the obvious fact that apple 'trimmed' lots of functionality for ipod touch. they stripped the calendar event adding function, notepad, google maps and thus making ipod strictly just a pmp. But lately i saw ppl able to jailbreak ipod touch and install iphone apps into it. thus making it seems like a viable choice since most of us already owned a moderate to decent cellphones. But i couldn't help thinking that iphone has the ability to use Edge to access the net whereas ipod touch don't... it needs wifi. But then again, looking at our local providers, i think it's safe to say that i wouldn't subscribe to the monthly infinite usage edge package just to use it for my potential iphone. Kinda ironic huh? the thing is i'm kinda torn between iphone and ipod touch... both are equally useful. But so far can their functionality rivals those of windows mobile based OS pda? for starters, those devices starting to incorporate GPS. smile.gif
