I think reaching 5 figure is not that hard considering the inflation. But progressing within that 5 figure i.e. 10k to 20k is somewhat hard.

was 5 figure late 20s, but chose another job which has a better work life balance, now just 4 figure, no regret, has more time with family and more personal time

late 20s.. better late than never.. 4-day work week with good life balance.

lol, I chuckled when some said got 5 figure when playing Jutaria. That's really funny.

But, assuming everyone is telling the truth here, you guys are rich at an early age, because I remember my 50+ years old teacher mentioned that he get 8k/mth, telling us that this "iron rice bowl" isn't as lucrative as other jobs.

Comparing and racing to 5 figure salary is all fine and dandy. But a better race imo is who is the fastest to be free from corporate slavery or tied to a business you can't escape. In other words, to be in complete control of your time. Having money and time, as soon as you can, is the ultimate goal.

Personally I don't have a fixed salary. Earn by project basis. FIREd at 32. Doing whatever I want at the moment. Plan to be a FT dad for the next few years while working part time.
