I am worried. In the past, HP Smart app could allow me to scan document or photo without needing to sign in.

Now, I am forced to create a HP account (email and H/P are mandatory) before I am allowed to perform printer scan.

I am worried that HP will send the thumbnail of scanned image back to their server. I do not understand, it is like you bought a microwave oven, but you need to login to use it?

(Their premium features are not free)
