I tested a Napure mattress, with a 2 inch latex top layer, 1 inch coconut fibre transition layer, and 10 inch individual pocket spring layer. Do you think this’d do the job for you?
Interesting. I wonder how the coconut fibre would feel like since its pretty stiff and being placed on pocket springs which moves.
I think it could work but springs would wear out eventually. I feel like my full coconut fibre will never wear out but the latex on top may need to be replaced after a decade or 2. The compacted coconut fibre is super solid and required 2 person to carry up to my room. It's given me the best sleeps with no back issues at all. May take time to adjust the first couple of nights but after that its golden.
In the end it boils down to personal preference. If my choice is between full latex and a hybrid one, I would take the hybrid one any day. My latex mattress felt good the first 1-2 months before I noticed how much softer the place I sleep in is getting compared to the other sides of the bed. It's been 1.5 years so I pretty much rotated every way I could think of and now the entire bed feels much softer compared to when new.
Another factor to consider could be your age. I noticed that older people tends to prefer harder mattresses.
You could try some of them out. There are plenty of startups giving free trials on their mattresses. Just google and you should be able to come across a few. e.g.
