Recently bought a 1440p 144hz monitor for my personal laptop. When i connect the monitor to the laptop with the included hdmi cable, i couldn't select to drive the monitor with GPU and i cant select 144hz refresh rate.
I tried to select performance mode in the nvidia control panel as suggested by many on the internet but still cant connect the monitor to the gpu. It is always using the integrated graphics instead.
I also tried to update the drivers but no luck.
I am using acer aspire 15 with MX250 gpu in it.
I believe the HDMI port is not HDMI 2.0. Get yourself a DP cable and connect your laptop to the monitor. By the way, your laptop have DP port?I tried to select performance mode in the nvidia control panel as suggested by many on the internet but still cant connect the monitor to the gpu. It is always using the integrated graphics instead.
I also tried to update the drivers but no luck.
