its good recommendation actually maintain good power consumtion and hardware stability, for myself I set maximum performance while on AC power and power savings on battery, since mostly at home and I would take out the battery ..

eg.

Display timeout - 5 mins
HDD spin timeout (not using SSD) - 5 mins

I apply 0 of it.

1st setting impact performance
2nd if you had download something, this setting will stop the download.
3rd is the one can consider using it, but I prefer 5 mins.
4th is no way I am going to turn off, screen saver is a must to prevent OLED screen burn-in.

you can find WordPad in C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories folder

and Write.exe in C\Windows folder .. both are the same, WordPad is just but rebadged and upgraded version of write
