Using chromecast or any android box basically change any TV even dumb one into a full fledge android TV.You just connect the box through HDMI port and voila you get android TV .  I suggest Chromecast with google TV is because it is officially from Google, the creator of android TV..You will get all the latest update..the user interface is snappy and fast and not lagging at all..you can control your TV using voice control..It support 4k resolution with HDR10, Dolby support. Also if your TV goes kaput one day,you can still use the android box migrate to another TV.All for just around rm280... The Chrome cast is just one time buy.. Obviously you need to pay for streaming services like Netflix or Disney+.

Bought Mi TV last year for 600 or so (32"). Android OS, works well.

nowadays the smaller TVs so cheap.. regular brands like Panasonic, LG and Sharp look like good buys. i been using LG for the past 4-5 years, stil going strong. look at features and pic quality. i still regret not getting one with headphone jack

Thanks for the idea, n already got a mi box from the previous /k suggestion

will update here once my TV arrive brows.gif

btw I ended up just getting the Mi TV + Mi Box. Seems like Mi TV is the cheapest one out there with HDR.

There's few model like samsung TN8000 / LGUN60 (if not mistaken), HDR at Rm1.6k, but trying my luck with Xiaomi this time.

Get the Sharp 32 inch android tv. I got one too. The picture quality is excellent. The sound is good too.
Avoid those China brands, backdoor to ccp spying
