Hi. I just bought Morgan chest freezer and this is my first chest freezer. When I open it, I saw some damage inside (not sure this is a damage or not).

I saw plastic that wrap the inner macam sudah koyak. My question is, is this normal or defect? Or I need to peel that plastic off? It seems to cover the whole inner.

Looks like a defect or cut damage to me. It should be entirely smooth for the epoxy coating.
From the 2nd/3rd pic it could have gotten stuck at an angle and some smart alec tried to yank it out with brute force.

puncture = damage that can see the inner layer.

scratches and dents can live with it but if it's new it shouldn't be like this.

One dont have a choice to reject delivery if is online purchase. Too much hassle to return and some unscrupulous sellers may argue is buyers fault.

Even if buyer can have it replaced, the unit will eventually be sold to another in the name of low price.

Avoid buying bulky electrical item online.

Bought a 4 litre kettle first time online many years ago and upon received, couldnt power on !

If ts can accept the defect, it wont affect performance. Just the no shiok feeling unless willing to wait for a replacement.

It's a protective film for manufacturing & should be removed before use. The internal finish is white - also have a 'Morgan' DKSH chest freezer.

I just got the reply from shopee seller. He said no need to remove the plastic. Need to refund back the freezer.

I also think it is a protective film. I will call direct their customer service tomorrow before do a return/refund.

Btw what do u mean by Morgan DKSH chest freezer?

Update: Morgan technician called me and came to my house to check. According to him, the plastic is damage but eventually it will also gonna be damaged in a long run. So I decided to use it because the return/refund policy will take about 1 month to get the replacement plus all the report.

Thanks for all the replies. Topic closed
