The only one thing bother me is how long the battery need to be charge.

The so call old-gen car need to fill petrol like 2-3 minutes and ready to roll. Yet, electric car maybe need 1hour to charge

15 mins for 300km...and keep improving with higher power of supercharger.

the best strategies is not changing them to 100% full.
the initial charging curve is fast, then it drops.
charge up to ~75% is the best bet.

TBH, Malaysia is not one step behind in EV race.

It's actually many steps behind in the EV race.

it will only make sense if you are able to charge the car at your house/the place u live.

i.e landed people have charging station/infra installed at their porch. condo people car park have charging infra build in and best can monitor the charging remotely at their unit.

Msia is doomed in the EV race, energy or whatever new tech. Highly dependant on fossil fuels, high price for imported car, reluctant of investment in charging infrastructure.. yada yada... for EV to be easily accessible in msia... maybe 2050...

There are companies that can convert petrolbased car to EV

My guess is eventually some rich businessmen will bring this technology into our Country

I'm actually helping some ppl explore this but as u know policy making by our useless government is taking forever ... They expect us to move first and then they will exert their own opinion and legislate when timing is close to midnight

Malaysia is lagging behind Singapore (investment), Indonesia (plan), Thailand (manufacturing) and Vietnam (manufacturing) in ASEAN when it comes to EV. Sad but true.

Fossil fuel in Malaysia is still reasonably and comparatively cheap.

Until and unless they improve the charging infrastructure, make batteries cheaper and lighter, and offer longer range at an affordable price, i'm happy to stick with internal combustion for the time being.

it only feasible to own a electric car if you live in landed house.

our 220v normal outlet does able to top up a EV car but then it will take more than 10hours to fully recharge.

so...i think is still feasible
