Have you realized that all the e-commerce companies are from Singapore? Carousell, Qoo10, Lazada, Shopee, Zalora etc. Why?

I know Indonesia has Tokopedia, but they don't seem to be influential or even well-known outside of Indonesia. Meanwhile companies such as Shopee are present even in countries outside of Asia. It's like they are trying to compete with Amazon as an alternative in the long-term.

Should Malaysia also have an e-commerce company just to serve our interests, both as customers and sellers? Why rely on Singaporean companies? All we're doing is propping up their fintech economy at our expense.
