Nope. Myteksi founded in malaysia. Teksi ppl say they stealing money boycott.
Ask khazanah for investment tak ada bumiputera director and no future.
Grab was founded in Singapore after getting financing for temasek.

GrabTaxi initially applied for financial grant from Khazanah Nasional, the sovereign wealth fund of the government of Malaysia. However, long internal checks and processes had caused Khazanah did not agree on a deal.[32] It was the Singapore government investment fund Temasek that had agreed to finance US$10 million into Grabtaxi. In the same year, the company moved its headquarter from Malaysia to Singapore.

Let's be honest, half of their workforce are probably made up of Malaysian PRs or ex-Malaysians. A shame most have to cross the causeway when the same competent job could have been done at home.

Because Shopee was only created in 2015...in such a short space of time they grew so big. It's still not over yet for Malaysian companies if they keep dilly-dallying.

Culture plays a part. If you are involved with Malaysian corporate culture. Politicking kuat but work macam tahi and taichi everywhere, upper management takut to make any decision. Then you work in international companies, you see the difference. Even PRC companies operate way way better for both the company and employees well being at least outside of PRC.

Don't even ASSUME its just ecommerce companies . There are many Malaysians also fed up and just do Flagship co in Singapore -----and just do simple setup either ali baba or whatever that's simple

These roadblocks are similar to Indonesia Govt too

Of course if physical like precious things eg gold ---can just issue document / physical gold can keep in Singapore bank
