Does anyone know if there is any cooler for AMD AM2 cpu with total height less than 31mm? I know Silverstone has a cooler NT07 but that is only for Intel Socket 478/479. Any suggestion? Thanks

Even stock heatsink isn't as short as 31mm and they fit into most or maybe all cases unless modded.

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Sep 7 2007, 11:48 AM) well 1u HSFs cannot discipate heat well.and ud probably have to mod em. might as well take your stock hsf and saw it down because if u were to make ur own retention module, its contact might not be as good just my 2 cents |

but NT07 isnt 31mm in the 1st place anyway
but if TS want to look for short sinks, look for old batch thermalright coolers, ie si and xp series http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_index.htm |

i've handled many 1U HSF before, that's because i installed many 1U servers.
in 1U servers, they don't use fan. they use blowers. low profile but damn loud. i still have a copper heatsink that's a little taller than 1U HSF. |

AM2 procs don't put out much heat unless you're overclocking them hard, should not be a problem keeping it within safe temps.and ud probably have to mod em. might as well take your stock hsf and saw it down because if u were to make ur own retention module, its contact might not be as good just my 2 cents |
